[b]The
Star Swordsman[/b] - Who isn’t? Harry Potter is probably the coolest
thing on the face of this earth…besides Pixar, of course. ![]()
PixarVixen -
Glad you could make it here, PV! Yay – another fellow “Potter person”!
![]()
Oh yes, you should definitely read the books. As JamieLew said, there are
tons of facts and hidden “treasures” within the books which give their readers more insight into the
plot-line and characters of the series. They are really worth a read…
And don’t feel bad about the
whole Draco Malfoy issue. I am a member of MuggleNet, and let me tell you, there are
Malfoy fan-girls by the millions. ![]()
JamieLew - They had some sneak peaks
on ABC? No way – I missed it! I have seen pictures of the actress who portrays Luna Lovegood, though. She is
absolutely superb – they couldn’t have picked a better girl to play the part! I
haven’t heard her voice yet, though. It must be good though, from what you said. Does she make it kind of
“dreamy”, like in the book? ![]()
Country-girl93 - It is, indeed, alot
darker than the other films; things just keep getting worse. And there are still two films left after
“Phoenix”: Half-Blood Prince and the seventh
book, whose title has yet to be released.
I wonder who will play the role of Tonks in the fifth (and
upcoming) film(s)? I think that the actress who plays her has been announced, but I don’t know who it
is…yet…
Well Mitch, I said it before, I don’t like
HP now as I used to. Lost intrest and I don’t think t is cool anymore.
Mitch, you should check out either Mugglenet
or The Leaky Cauldron because they have links to the sneaks on their websites.
Luna’s voice is really
dreamy and I was really happy with her. Which is saying a lot, because I like specifics for the characters and
Luna is my favorite so I was extra skeptical. Her interview was cute too, because she mentions that she
“wants to do Luna justice.” ![]()
ooh i so wanna knbow who plays tonks . i so excited ! oh , and thanz for
telling everyone that i wasn’t on last week CG93 , u can take that off now .
Tonks is played by Natalia Tena, a fairly
unheard of actress.
Here’s a link of her in costume with purple (purple?!)
Apologies for Necro, but big news! We now know the title of Book Seven! It
is:
[spoil]Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows[/spoil]
Funky. For some
reason, the title doesn’t really resonate with me. Eh, it’s what’s between the covers that matters, not
what’s on them.
I suspect that [TITLE MATTER] will play a critical role in the final Harry-Voldemort
showdown.
From the sound of the title, it seems like
someone we have come to love will die.
It would be a very
big surprise if Harry wouldn’t die in Book 7.
I think J.K.Rowling just has to
‘finish’ it.
I really like the title. I CAN’T WAIT!!!
Harry’s has to live –
that’s all I’m saying.
Oh and I’m back from University, so I should be able to visit a TAD more than
usual! ![]()
Pheon, out. ![]()
Oh
wow… I’m so excited!!!
But… I hate to say it… but does the title seem a little cheesy to you guys? I
think it’s the “Deathly” part… I actually thought it was a fan rumor the first second.
Oh
well. I will totally love Harry Potter 7 no matter the title or how good it is. ![]()
Haha – my dad just showed me the title this afternoon. I am overly-excited!
![]()
However, I have to agree with you there, JamieLew. It is a
tad bit cheesey, with some salsa sprinkled on top. ![]()
Judging from the
title, I suspect that “Hallows” has to deal with “Godric’s Hollow” in some way, even though
the meaning of both words are completely different. The title scares me; I think “someone” has got it
in for Harry in this book… (don’t say his name, though!). (snigger)
Makes we wonder. Who is gonna die? It sound like an omninous title.
I really think that it is going
to be Hagrid, but perhaps I shouldn’t say that out loud… Heheh.
I thought for sure that Lupin would
be the victim in the preceeding book. Turned out that I was dead wrong, literally… ![]()
Well, I wouldn’t expect Hagrid to die. He was an adorable character.
I don’t want him to kick
the bucket either, but know this:
[spoil]Almost everyone dear to Harry has been knocked off:
his parents, Sirius, Dumbledore…
I can only imagine that somebody else whom Harry is close to will be
next. Or, at least, that’s what some fans think.[/spoil]
However, we’ll find out in July of
2007, won’t we? ![]()
Oh my, I have ben rooting for him ever since book one. I wonder if [spoil]his
friends are next.[/spoil]
Nah – I seriously
doubt that. Although…
[spoil]Ron’s uncle Bilius, who…after seeing “The Grim” in
person, died twenty-four hours after the occurance.
Ron’s middle name just happens to be Bilius… Some
fans think that, because of this, Ron may just meet his doom.
However, if Ron dies, I think that Harry
just might snap another fuse.
[/spoil]
I doubt
the Trio will be ruined in anyway . . . but I do agree that anyone and anything that’s been protecting Harry
since the series began:
[spoil]IV - His Mother’s Protection
V - Sirius Black
VI - Albus
Dumbledore[/spoil]
have been slowly knocked off. I consider this to mean that Harry must
confront Voldie ALONE, i.e. with no help outside his own skill what-so-ever – and even THAT’s hard to imagine,
considering:
[spoil]Both Harry’s and Voldie’s wands won’t fight one
another.[/spoil]
But that’s just me.
Phoenician - Good point,
especially concerning your latter spoiler.
This further exemplifies what Dumbledore was trying to tell
Harry in the fifth book:
[spoil]That the one thing that Voldemort cannot and will not
understand is love, unlike Harry…who is surrounded by it and filled with it.
[/spoil]
I imagine that this particular aspect of Harry will gain him an extra point in the
final lap. He at least has one advantage over Voldemort.
