Hey has anyone called you a name (not like a bad name) but like a nickname that really annoyed you?ex. Fluffykins or something of the sort?
Like my name is Garrett well once this girl in class started calling me “Garebear” and then all the girls started calling me that it was sooo annoying…
I was never really called names, and I never really had a nickname, but when I was younger all the girls always called me “Joney” (I suppose that’s how you would spell it… my real name is “Jonah”). Nowadays some people get confused with my name and call me “Josh” or “John”, or they’ll get my name mixed up with my brother’s names, but that doesn’t happen very often.
When I was in sicth grade a kid used to call me Chubs, just because my cheeks at the time were rather chubby. We were friends though, so it didn’t bother me that much at the time. Thinking back though, that wasn’t very nice of him.
Also, a boy I met at Massachusetts Boy’s State last month calls me Keanu, after Keanu Reeves, because I referenced The Lake House once as we were all talking in the common room.
And last summer I worked at a day camp with kids aged 7-11. One week the campers all started calling me Seanut Brittle. My names is Sean and they kept giggiling by pronouncing it “Seen” and then they though of the word “sea” and combined it with 'nut" to make “seanut” because it sounded like “peanut” which then led to “peanut brittle” and made Seanut Brittle. I sometimes see the kids around town and they still call me that. Some of the staff members also call me it. It is my favorite nick name!
I’ve never really been called any nicknames because my name’s short as it is.
I’m certain I’ve been called bad names before as there are a lot of people who don’t like me, especially at school. The things they might have called me behind my back!
This is a little embarassing, but as my dad has 3 daughters (me included) he calls us after potatoes:
Daisy (1)= New Potato
Hannah (10)= Baked Potato
Me (15)= Jacket Spud*
And no, we don’t look like potatoes! Well, I hope we don’t No offence, Mr and Mrs Potato Head.
*Spud is a British name for Potato (weird, I know)
Snipe- yeah, it is kinda cute to be called after a potato, I suppose. Especially if your dad likes to call you it.
mopar5- Cool! Your friend has a funny (in a good way) name! Even sayng the word “Spud” makes me laugh. It’s funny and cute! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
Well, my name’s Juliane and from the fifth to the ninth grade, most boys in my class called me Jules, the male version of my name, which annoyed me. But telling them to stop never worked
Three years ago, me and my parents moved to another town but I still went to my old school which was just the town after the next (it would have been pointless to go to another school for the last 1 1/2 years). So naturally there were other pupils at the bus stop and most, if not all, of them had one thing in common: they all went to a special school. The girls were all vain and they seem to care more about looks than about anything else and I usually look plain. Because of that they started to call me “Alien”, which the boys also picked up. I ignore it most of the time and I try not to pay attention (by listening to my MP3-Player) but they are often so loud that I can hear every single word.
And most of the time, me and my brother are jokingly calling each other names, mostly Disney characters. Our favorites are Flower, Abu, Pumbaa and Rafiki and I like to call him Juju and he calls me Mama Odie. Other characters he calls me include Ellie (from the Ice Age movies), Sally (from The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Quina (from Final Fantasy IX).
LOL! Spudder and Spudster= Awesomeness Mr Potato Head= Coolio This friend of yours has some of the greatest nicknames ever! BTW, nice idea for a thread.
Witch_of_Night: I wish my brothers would call me characters names. My names, according to them, are:
“Fatty” (because I eat a lot, and I’m not even fat)
“Spotty Face” (I suffer from a few zits, so what? It’s a teenage thing)
“Frecklehead” (I have freckles, so? And so do they, come to think of it)
“Pig” (Again, to do with the fact that I like eating a lot)
Well, I’m Mackenzie. And the first four letters of my last name are “Mack” as well so, I get lots of MackMacks or Mack to the Second power. Which I don’t like. And there’s Mack Attack or just Mack.
Also my Agriculture teacher once called me 'Dragonslayer" because I wore a beanie that has the Welsh Dragon on it. That was more amusing than annoying though.
In my 2nd year German class, one kid called me “AIDS girl” for no reason. I don’t even have AIDS and he called me that. So that really upset me.
My friends used to call me ‘Chlorine’ as I always went swimming in my friend’s pool, and eventually that turned into ‘Charity’ the more we walked over to the nearby Sonic.
Haha, my last name is Ding (hence my username) and as you can probably tell, it’s prone to all sorts of nicknames. Ding-Dong, Ding-a-ling, Dingbat, Dingster, I’ve heard it all! Honestly, I don’t mind being called all those names that much. Any name works for me, as long as I know that you’re referring to me!
