high school musical hate or love

When I first saw HSM 1, I didn’t mind it. It was after I had to see it over and over and over and hear the songs from everyone everywhere over and over and over, and then it really got on my nerves. I gave the sequel a chance, with low expectations, and I was still disappointed. So, this third I’m expecting to be a piece of you-know-what.

i hadn’t seen it until my little cousin’s dance group did a production of it…and he encouraged us to watch the film first.
i can’t explain how bad it was! the only thing good about the production were the tiny 3/4 year olds dancing and singing!

oh and hi! newbie here!

Sorry If I had already posted this but love it!

I’m 17 years old and some of my friends (at my age) like HSM. I watched both of the movies and waiting for the third to come out, so I could criticize it. The first movie was good, but the second was just plain crap. It reminded me of an American version of Indian films, which I detest a lot. Seriously here in London there is a craze for HSM, there’s even started a theatrical version of the film and you’ll always see advert of HSM while watching TV or listening to the radio and it is starting to make me hate HSM.

azzstar: You’ll probably agree with me when I say that after the first HSM, it would’ve been better if they just stopped?

Yeap, but Disney wanted more money. I bet Disney will release a 4th movie, but this time all the characters are in work and they all get fired for not working.

Well, the big rumor that i heard about a “probable” 4th HSM is that they are going to have a new cast.

:open_mouth:

^^^this is all that is needed to be said.

I hate it (and I’m not just saying that, I’ve seen both HSM1 and HSM2). I’ve seen the ads for HSM3 on Disney Channel too and it looks overwhelmingly stupid. I think they overact - Zac Efron especially (just look at how it sings “Now or Never”, it’s stupid).

Then again, I’m probably the stupid one for knowing the song they sing in the TV ads.

I saw this thing on HSM on the Disney channel. And if I am not mistaken, the Disney Channel is doing this little miniseries called “HSM, Get your head in the picture” or something like that. And it follows the background ensemble while filming HSM3.

I like to see that so many people hate High School Musical, it really cheers me up. I hope they don’t make any more, and I hope they don’t make more money than Pixar has.

:sunglasses:

80% Hate!

75% Hate

25% No Idea what the movie was really like becuse i never saw it.

Well, so far, when I first saw it, I was 50/50. The more Disney decided to do with it, the more the hating percentage rose. Right now, it might go up to the high 80s, maybe even 90s.

Eh. I don’t know so many people hate it, it does not seem that bad. Beats Hairspray, me thinks.

Well, I do think Hairspray is better than HSM any and every day.

I admit that the second movie was… mostly dull, but c’mon, you got to admit that most of those songs are quite… inspiring, in some sort of way. Sharpay could had gone lower than she did, but eh, overall, the two movies send some rather good messages.

Don’t forget, it is a worldwide phenomenon. Now, why would it be so if it sucks? The world is not composed of that many blind, you know? :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, Hairspray’s awesome, it’s just that I don’t like it that Zac Efron’s in it (pretty boy, grrr…).

I agree. He was pretty annoying.

Yeah…no. I’ve never seen it, but I dont think I’d like it, and honestly I’m sick of seeing and hearing about it.
