I totally agree on the Lightning\Sally part.More Lightning and Sally!!!
At first I was really skeptical about Cars 2, but if Pixar can pull the sequel off then, just as we’ve seen with Toy Story 2 and 3, it could be as good as, or better than the original.
You made some good points there. I trust Pixar to do a good job, even though I am skeptical about the storyline. (But I’ve been skeptical about some of their ideas before and they’ve always worked out) I cant say I’d want more Mater, since what was in the first movie was about all I could take of him, but it looks like thats what we’re getting anyway.
7: Give Chick Hicks a Cameo
The cameo from Sid in Toy Story 3 was genius, so why not give a cameo to Chick Hicks? Wouldn’t it be both funny and creepy to see him on the streets looking for a new job? Or something like that, but it would be a nice addition to pleasing the fans.
I’m gonna have to disagree on this one. In the first cars video game and cars race o rama (both of which take place after the movie), chick still has his racing career.
Maybe Chick secretly comes along with Lightning to screw up his plans of winning the World Grand Prix!
Is planes already out, or in production?
I don’t think anyone knows for sure yet. Pixar isn’t going to let it out though, Disney is. So even if it’s bad, we can blame Disney and not Pixar.
But no one knows anything for sure.
As for number 2, I think they should answer the question on how cars die. Death was a major theme in up, plus the toy story characters narrowly escaped death in ts3. Plus, Mater accidentaly saves the life of a spy car in this movie and being a spy can be a life risking job. So yeah the story should definitely be darker.
I love dark stories as crazy as it sounds.
I agree with everything except number four. Not all films need a villain. And I agree that the film should be as dark as the other recent Pixar films, as well as have more Mater.

That makes me happy
I know I was super relieved to know that because I wouldn’t have to hide my face in shame for being a Cars fan if Planes is horrible. Which it probably will be.
Not all films need a villain
Yeah, Brother Bear was awesome, and it didn’t have like an evil villian.
Oh my god I haven’t seen that movie in so long!
In fact I finished writing a 24,557 word tribute to Pixar about two months ago in hopes of sending it to them.
Dude, that’s like a freakin’ thesis! You should definitely have someone, especially the Pixarians, a look at that.
And I agree that the film should have more Mater.
Finally someone agrees with me!
As for the comments about not every film needing a villain, not every film needs one, but every story has an antagonist, whether it’s a person or an obstacle; big or small. A movie can have no villain and still be great, however if it does have a villain I believe it should be a good one (not that Chick was bad in any sense of the word). Since Pixar has revealed/hinted at a villain for Cars 2 I think he should be stronger than Chick’s role. If Cars 2 doesn’t have a villain, then I’m still sure it will be great based on the points I’ve previously adressed.
I agree, more Mater doesn’t bother me, no matter how much it seems to everyone else. I don’t see why everyone dislikes him so much.
Yeah, I sure wouldn’t mind having more Mater. He’s a pretty good character.

I don’t see why everyone gets so annoyed with Mater.
Personally, I love Mater. I would think I would like to see more of him, but if there is one thing I want to see, its Lightning and SAlly Finally kissing.
