I think I want to write to Peter Sohn. Does anyone know if he’ll respond?
Personally, I think he would be flattered and indeed respond. But, I’ve only ever written to directors, never to any of the artists.
Well I know if I write to a director, then they probably won’t respond personally which is what I would like.
Well, I just wrote to Dan Scanlon (director of Monsters U.) only because I think it has the slightest chance of being the first piece of fan mail he’s ever received. xD
That’s hilarious.
Linguini33 : Sometimes they do. Like, they’ll write your name on the autograph, or in a letter.
I’m so jealous, that’s amazing! I think I might write to him too, if I could get a real reply I think I’d faint. Great idea, I’m so happy for you!
That’s awesome! I’m going to write to them soon!
Cool, even though I already saw your post in facebook.
I wrote Pete Docter a while ago, and I’m desperately waiting reply.
I’ve also written to Pete and am awaiting his reply.
What did he say in his reply?? I’m dying to know!
He said: “Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you like the first film. I was a fan of that film myself. I’m looking forward to sharing MU with you and the rest of the world. Dan Scanlon”
That’s so sweet! I like the last sentence the best He seems really nice, I still can’t believe that reply! How long did it take to get back to you?
I sent it June 24th and he sent it out July 8th. So 2 weeks.
When and if the secret Pixar project is directed by a new director, I plan on sending a request to him or her. Just because. xD
Ughhhh, I have always wanted to write to a Pixarian, specifically one who worked on Ratatouille, and tell them how much that movie changed my life, but I am having ~the~ hardest time deciding who to write to. :c
Initially I wanted to write to Lou Romano because his voice and just him in general is the most perfect thing, but of course, he doesn’t even work at Pixar anymore, so I can’t pick him. ;____;
I’m afraid of writing to someone like Brad Bird cuz I’m afraid I’ll sound really dumb and sappy and I get nervous about my writing sometimes. xD I’d especially like to get a signed still from the movie, like some of you guys got, but I don’t know how to ask for that as well, also without sounding like an idiot.
I have lots of time to work on my letter, and I’m going to hand-write it, probably… but I’m not going to send it until I’ve moved, because if I send it out from my current address and I don’t get a reply for like, a month, I’ll be somewhere totally different and then my letter will get lost in the mail, and I don’t want that.

It’s officially been 12 weeks since I wrote John Lasseter. I guess I really chose just about the worst possible time to write him, what with Cars 2 premiering and all. Here’s hoping he gets around to it eventually!
little_chef: I think Jim Capobianco would be the best choice. I mean he was a co-screenwriter and he directed Your Friend the Rat. Just my two cents.
Kris: It’s okay. It takes a long time for JL. It was 4 months before I got a response from JL.
I would love to get Brenda Chapman’s autograph. But that’s not going to happen after what’s happen with Brave.
I’ve always wanted to send a Pixar DVD to Emeryville in hopes of getting it signed by the director. Does anyone think that sounds feasible? I’m hesitant to try because 1. I don’t want to lose an amazing movie if something happens in transit 2. I don’t want whoever gets it at Pixar to think I’m “forcing” them to reply by sending something of mine and asking for it back.
