How to get Pixarian autographs

This is really helpful information. I must try it…

I did this when I asked for Lou Romano’s autograph, hoping I’d get a real one instead a glossy pre-print - they gave me Brad Bird’s pre-print autograph, instead. But it’s worth a try… Lou Romano could have simply been busy that day.

Yeah, I thought that was actually a really good idea. I wouldn’t mind getting an autograph from him myself, but seeing as they just sent you one from the Brad Bird pile just adds to my discouragement.

Well, regardless, it is really cool of them to even do that for fans.

I still think you should give it a try, ominousorb.

Yeah, what the heck, it’s still something to put on my wall. =P

I’m totally STOKED!! Pixar replyed to me!! :open_mouth:

Here is what they sent,

The first one is an Eve postcard with a note from Elissa Night a.k.a Eve!

Here is the back.

This really suprised me!! Here are some Wall•E stickers!

And here’s what looks like a Wall•E cut out. Like you punch out little paper Wall•E parts and put them together.

I’m so happy I can’t sleep! It means a lot to me.

I would like to say good luck to all who are going for an autograph, and just follow what the first post said and I’m sure you will be in luck.

wow that is so nice Wall-E-Dude !!!

Congrats on what you received from Pixar, Wall-E-Dude! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that EVE postcard one before… And you got stickers! Lucky guy. Thanks for showing us what you got. Another success story.

Does that writing look like she actually wrote on the particular postcard with a felt tip pen, or do you think it’s a pre-print? (I don’t know if Pixar would have the hindsight to predict people writing to EVE/Elissa Night for her autograph that would necessitate many pre-prints, but you never know…)

I thought I’d give this a go. Wrote a letter and am posting it tomorrow , if I do get anything it should take quite a while though as I’m from the UK but I’ll keep everybody posted!!

Wall•E•Dude - Wow. Congratulations! I wonder if Ms. Night actually signed that postcard on the spot (at Pixar)? Either way, that’s pretty cool.

zada - I hope that you get a reply back!

Wow, Wall-E-Dude, you’re so lucky! They sent you all of that stuff? That’s amazing! I especially love that EVE postcard, and that Elissa Knight actually wrote that note to you is awesome.

Oh my gosh, that’s awesome, Wall-E Dude! How wonderful that Pixar would send you all those trinkets!

We actually have those stickers! Shilla’s friend’s friend’s husband has some Disney connections.

Well I know someone wrote it out because I see there are parts where it was written over “white out” ( The “e” at enjoyed) . So, it was hand written for shure.

Yeah I love the stickers, I have never seen them before, are they like a Wall•E promo thing? I’m having a hard time wondering what to do with them though? I might frame everthing in a big poster frame?

Good luck Zada with your request!!

Dude: That is amazing! :astonished: Now this really really really makes me want a WALL•E autograph. Lemme think…

After I see WALL•E, I want to write a letter to Ben Burtt and/or WALL•E to see what I get back. I know Ben Burtt doesn’t work at Pixar like the voice of EVE (Elissa Night) does, so I’ll probably only get a pre-print or a postcard written by the secretary, or something. Worth a try, though.

It also makes me wonder if Pixar are going in a new direction with what they send back now… I haven’t yet seen a glossy A4 pre-print with Andrew Stanton’s autograph down the bottom. Hmmm. Quick, someone request Andrew Stanton’s autograph and see what you get back!

Hi everyone, it’s my first post, I feel silly that my first post is a question, but I hope that in the future I’ll be a more active participant in this forum!

I was just wondering whether the International Reply Coupon is necessary? I feel bad that I’m not going to the Post Office to buy one, but my nearest Post Office is miles away… :astonished:

Wow, once again I am amazed not only by Pixar’s quality but also their sincerity. So, from what I understand, all I have to do is write a note saying what I want, send it with appropriate postage, and eventually I am likely to get something back? Without sending them any money at all? I will do this ASAP! I can’t wait to see what I get!

cool ill mail my autograph request off when i fing those darn stamps and look up how to place stamps and addresses on a envelope :stuck_out_tongue:

I wrote my letter, but I’m not sure if they’ll ship it if I put too much postage on it, and I don’t have either an exact amount stamp or extra 1 cent stamps. :frowning:

Guys, please use correct spelling and punctuation as it makes your posts easier to understand if you do this, plus it’s good netiquette. Thanks.

daftks - Welcome to Pixar Planet!

Even though in the first post I suggested that you buy some international reply coupons, from my personal experience, since I live outside the US too, you don’t need to do this. Pixar will send you back an autograph (if you want it from a specific movie or director, you have to say this in your letter), a letter thanking you for your letter, and they will send it back in their special envelopes free of charge. All you need to do is make sure your letter has enough stamps on it to reach Pixar from where you live in the world. No international reply coupons are necessary.

In fact, I’m pretty sure that if you send them a nice e-mail with your name and address, they will send you an autograph and letter free of charge, so you wouldn’t even have to pay for postage or post a letter, if the post office is too far away, so that’s an option for you. Yes, Pixar really are that nice! Good luck and let us know what you receive back.

MigardDragon - Yes, all you need to do is send them a nice letter requesting an autograph from either your favourite director, or tell them what your favourite Pixar movie is, and they will vary what they send back to you according to what you write in your letter. It would be a good idea (and just plain polite) to send multiple requests separately.

I’ve never heard of the post office returning a letter to sender because someone overpaid the postage… it’s better to overpay postage than underpay, but even if you underpay sometimes they’ll let the letter continue on its journey, other times they’ll send it back - it depends on how nice your country’s postal service is. Anyway, if you are that worried take your letter to the post office and pay for the exact postage at the counter.
