Uh… could you help me appreciate Dutch people more as well?
What gives? Do the Dutch get an earlier DVD release than the rest of the world or something?

I just referred to Dutch people in general because I think you and I are the only ones here on the boards that are Dutch so yeah :U
And about the DVD release… man I wish we did. ;-; We get everything about a month later. Or later than that.
I was referring to ‘again and again and again and again and AGAIN’.
Oh, that? That wasn’t really a reference to anything. xD
Thanks little_chef for making a countdown to my birthday Seriously though, I hope someone buys it for me as a present so I don’t have to spend my own money.
Is it not worth your own money?
Lol, of course, getting something as a present is better than having to buy it yourself, right? xD
I’m probably gonna ask the DVD for my birthday… along with Donkey Kong Country Returns.
I haven’t seen HTTYD, but I will when it comes out on DVD.
It was bound to happen: [url]/Film | Reporting the Reel World
Old news is old.
Eh. Some people are slow.
But the good news (I hope?) is that the whole cast and director are returning!
Yep, and I even recall hearing John Powell will be doing the score for this one too! Although I don’t remember if that was confirmed or merely a rumor…
But I trust Hansen and DeBlois to come up with something good.
Disappointing to hear Mr Sanders won’t be in the hot seat, but DeBlois is pretty trustworthy as well (and I’m curious about Sanders’ other project… what’s that all about?).
Is there a tentative release date for the sequel?
Wait what? Since when is Sanders NOT working on this? D:
Nooooo Sanders, don’t run away. Please get on the sequel project - we need you. ;n;
I too trust DeBlois with it, but it’d be nice to know what Sanders is working on that happens to be getting in the way of him working with DW on a HtTYD sequel.
I dearly hope that John Powell scores the next one… I think I might die a little on the inside if he doesn’t.
little chef
What I meant by ‘the hot seat’ is the directorial position. According to the article, he’ll get credit as ‘Executive Producer’, so he can still pull a few strings. The caveman movie he’s directing sounds pretty intriguing, BTW.
I hope John Powell can keep the score consistent if he returns. The best film series’ score I can think of at the moment is Pirates of the Caribbean (You thought I was going to say a certain Pixar trilogy?). It is consistently good and distinctive throughout, and the main theme always features at one point or another in the tracks. If Mr Powell can pull a ‘Zimmer’, I’ll be a happy man.
I was listening to Sanders on a live stream maybe a month ago, and he was raving about his new movie, especially the emotional potential of it. I’m very excited. And I’m glad that he’ll still have a hand in HTTYD2. I’m confident that it will be a good sequel.
EDIT: Wow. Talk about totally milking it. Oh Dreamworks…

Duh-duh-duh, we’re dead! There’s two ways to look at this:
It’ll suck. In which case, we can boycott it and love the original film with all our hearts. Nothing will tarnish or ‘destroy’ the original property if we choose not not let it.
It’ll rock. In which case, we’ll have more adventures with Hiccup and Toothless and get to explore more of the world Sanders & Co. have created.
Hopefully, the producers will treat it with the same respect as movie-to-TV-show adaptations like Aladdin the Animated Series or The Lion King’s Timon & Pumbaa instead of, say, The Madagascar Penguins.
Meh. I never liked TV series that’s a spin-off from a movie. I’ll probably ignore it and pretend it doesn’t exist (like Buzz Lightyear: Star Command shivers)
Edit: Oh yeah. And the Legend Of The Boneknapper is online. I haven’t watched it yet but alot of the Dragon lovers are hating it.
Is that the short that comes with the DVD? Can you post a link here?
