Wasn’t the tagline for Cars 2 “going where no car has gone before”? I think Pixar had better get permission to use the Star Trek theme if they do a space adventure! Might annoy a few trekkies, but it would be fun to see and hear.

A colony of humans on a faraway planet decide to recapture Earth. They send a warning to the cars, telling them to prepare to surrender or die. Finn and Holley are sent to meet them, supposedly to bring peace offerings… but their real mission is to sabotage the entire fleet of human spacecraft.
Or something. 
Hahahaha, LOL. Oh my gosh, how creepy would it be if humans just randomly came into the Cars world?

Personally, if I was one of the humans I would be afraid…very afraid. Which would be the greater species; humans or powerful machines? And after all the abuse we put cars through…you do the math and figure out who would come out on top.

If Cars 3 happened, it would probably be about [spoil]that secret mission that Finn and Holley[/spoil] mentioned briefly to Mater at the end.
I’m thinking that with the reception Cars 2 got a third probably wont happen. I’d be very surprised if there were. I’m not even sure if I’d want one, seeing the treatment Cars 2 got. It would have to be pretty amazing for them to go through with it I would think.
That’s a good hunch…I would be interested in that! I would probably only want a Cars 3 if they made Lightning the main character again. Otherwise, spare me the time and money.
Agreed. I would of felt the same way if they had Lightning take up 85-90% of the movie. It would of been like Pixar doing a Finding Nemo sequel where Dory takes up that amount of time.
Yes! You totally understand me! That is exactly what it is like and the reason I lost some respect for Pixar. If it stars McQueen then I am up for it, but if it is made purely for Mater (or anyone else really, excluding Sally, yeah, I’m biased) then they should just save time and keep making Cars Toons instead.
Oh my gosh, exactly! That’s the best analogy ever. Dory, like Mater, is one of those characters I can’t stand for too long. They’re better as secondary characters where they can come in and do their little comic relief or whatever and go away till another part of the movie. When they take up all the screen-time, I just end up hating them at the end of the movie, which was what happened with me and Mater.
