I realy loved
watching this. This is my favorite short. Jack-Jack is cute, and before I watched it, it made me wonder.
“What was Kari doing?”
Feel free to talk what ever you want about Jack-Jack Attack.

Jack-Jack is cute. Especially
for destroying half of the house. I love the little todler. He’s adorable
Jack-Jack Attack is so marvelously
done. Great job to the people who helped create the short. I would adore the baby’s
cuteness.
how many powers does the baby have? And what is your favorite?
Lasereyes
Levitation
Transformations: Turning into fire, metal, monster-like
Super-tough teeth
.
. . and that’ all I can think of for now.
I personally loved the turning to fire, and laserbeams!
I love Jack-Jack Attack. That little youngster
reminds me of my little cousins. Cute, yet unpredictable
My favorite power is the levitating. Floating babies
everywhere.
Doesn’t he
have also a teleportation power ?
I’m not
sure if it’s called teleportation. That kind of power is similar to X-men’s Kitty Pryde, (AKA: Shadowcat). She
has the ability to go through solid objects. They call it phasing. I think instread of teleporting through the
walls, he “phases” on right through.
I was talking about the moment where he’s hiding behind flowers. And the next
second, he’s near to the fridge.
Ok - This is a misconception that always bugs me.
Jack-Jack does NOT have a super biting ability. That whole idea comes from the missing bars in the playpen Kari
traps him in. But in actuallity, the bars are missing due to his teleportation (one you missed). Similar to
Nightcrawler from the X-men - Jack-Jack can teleport things with him (like his diaper) - unlike his phasing
ability in which he phases through it. Although not proven it also appears that like Nightcrawler he must be
able to see where he’s teleporting which makes since because otherwise he’d have no need for phasing. The way
he teleports though is through a spherical ball of energy that surrounds him (like Violet’s forcefield) that
transports everything inside (like his diaper) to a different location. It just so happens that time the bars
were caught in the sphere as well when he teleported to the book shelf. This also explains why the hole in the
playpen is a perfect circle without any ragged bite marks. Below is a list I’ve put together of Jack-Jack’s
know powers including their apparent extents and limitations.
Optical Energy
Beams (Laser vision) - Low power laser beams that fire from the eyes causing rapid heating of any
surface they touch. Judging from the color, power, and fact that they bounce harmlessly off of a glass surface
(mirror) they are likely concentrated ultraviolet rays which would make for lower chances of enhanced vision
abilities (such as night vision) that might accompany an infra-red radiation beam. The range is unknown but we
can assume he can hit a target at at least 20 ft (approximate distance from himself to mirror to ceiling) and
likely farther although because they are low power anything much beyond this distance becomes pointless because
of the need for perfect aim and a steady hold. The lasers are also a continuous stream rather than a single
blast although how long they could be maintained (seconds? minutes?) is entirely unknown. Whether this power can
be used in tandem with others is also unknown.
Personal Force Manipulation
(Levitation) - Forces acting on his body can be manipulated allowing him to rise, drop, and move side to side, as
well as “sit” on the ceiling or other uncommon places. This is more than just defying gravity as some
force must be applied to move him from side to side but the forces appear to be relatively weak (at least as a
baby) as they only allow for “floating” as oppsed to what on might actually consider useful in terms of
flight. The forces seem to be fairly rudamentary as well since he “tumbles” in the air and has no
ballance implying that the forces are general in a direction rather than specific to points on his body (at least
as a baby). There is no apparent limit to the use of this power though since he doesn’t use it when falling
from Syndrome, there is likely a non-motion or height requirement attached to it. We know this power can be used
at least with phasing.
Sub-Atomic Phasing (Phasing) - At the sub-atomic level
his body can make room to pass through other objects like a wall or his diaper. As of now he is unable to share
this power with something else in the vacinity like his teleportation or like Kitty Pride from the X-Men.
Although there is no direct proof, Kari’s known need for a chainsaw suggests he can rematerialize inside of
another object (like a wall) and still be completely functioning. This would be advantageous in an ability to
phase into and disrupt power circuits on computers and machines (like the omnidroid) in order to take them off
line. We also know this power can be used with levitation.
Personal
Pyro-Genesis (Fire Skin) - Through an unknown means he can create fire on his body. At this time
there is no evidence that he can limit it to one portion of his body (yet) or start it somewhere other than his
body. He also does not yet show an ability of being able to control fire (Pyro-kenesis), as he (and the living
room) burn until Kari extinguishes the flames, which would likely be a requirement for for controling what part
of his body burns or if something other than his body was to burn. While it can be assumed his skin is also
resistant to burning - there is also the possibility that his pyro-genesis is accompanied by a simultaneous
transformation into a more fire resistant substance underneath. There doesn’t seem to be a limit to the time he
can burn as he seems quite happy and at home with the ability but the use of other powers while on fire is yet to
be determined.
Transubstansiation (Elemental Metamorphasis) - At the atomic
level he can manipulate his body to become a solid metal (likely iron based on facts about the material’s weight
and luster). Though we have no visual proof, this likely means that he can do this with any elemental solid
(like gold or silver). If it is as simple as rearranging the sub-atomic particles then it would be feasable that
this power could theoretically allow him to shift phases (solid, liquid, gas) which could pose interesting
scenarios (for instance - shifting to Helium would make him invisible but intangible preventing him from doing
anything or even staying together - shifting to helium but staying solid would create a massive pressure and
temperature change in his immediate vacinity possibly allowing for limited weather manipulation - shifting to
hydrogen would cause him to explode ala the Hendenberg as he came in contact with oxygen in the air). There is
also the possibility that he can manipulate his body into alloys and pollyatomic molecules which could (based on
complexity) allow him to morph into any material known. Whether this can be used in tandem with other powers is
yet unknown.
Physical Enhancing Metamorphesis (Monster) - A transformation
into a mini-monster enhances his physical abilities such as strength, sharp teeth, and coordination. It would
also be likely that senses like hearing and smell could be enhanced in this stage as well as other physical
atributes like speed and jumping. How long he can use this for though is totally unknown. Whether this can be
used in tandem with other powers is yet unknown.
Finally I have a theory as to the root cause of his
powers. An ability to infuse himself with energy at the sub-atomic level. This would allow him to rapidly
manipulate particles for phasing - excite their motion in a single direction for levitation - concentrate them
for laser beams - break and create atomic bonds to change his material makeup and structure - and heat up through
fiction to start fire (yet not control it). A quick burst of energy from a core could effectively disintegrate
him and objects in a spherical area around him which could then travel on the shockwave to another location where
he instantaneously reassembles them accounting for teleportation to a location that is within sight. Also,
maximizing the energy in his body would account for the physical enhancements in monster mode - as well as the
red seemingly energized skin. This would also make sense as to why he seemingly had to work his way up to it
through other powers and then only maintained the state for a few moments before returning completely to
normal.

Yes, I know I’ve thought about this way too much
Yes, you have, and that’s why we love you!
But
hey, it sure DID look like biting, especially when the kid is upside down on the bars, GNAWING the bars . . . I
guess when Kari looked away he gave up biting and did his little force field orb thing . . .
hehe - I won’t deny that the kid is sitting there gumming away at it in an effort to escape -
but let’s face it, Helen’s still feeding him mush! He hasn’t got much in the way of teeth yet. I’d say the
bar biting was more for teething than escaping ![]()
Not my fave, but it was cool.
I personally just
watched it to see Syndrome without his mask on.
<3
When did Syndrome have a Mask??
… Eye mask. Sorry,
should’ve been more specific …
Oh . . . I get it now. Wait: He didn’t wear his eye-mask during the short??
I’ll
have to check out that short again: I completly didn’t notice!!
Lol- I
guess it takes a former Syndrome nutcase to notice, like me. He also talked a bit … smarter. Seemed out of
character … he acted all … proper, like. Hard to explain. I dunno- I’m rambling again … >_<
Aah, he was just
doing that so Kari wouldn’t notice. Mind you, it wouldn’t take much to break her down . . . Jack-Jack did most
of that work . . . unintentionally, mind you!
That bothered
me a bit. I think he was nervous to say he was going to take over because he is so focused on kidnapping
Jack-Jack.
