Jack-Jack Attack

I hope Pixar keeps attaching shorts to it’s movie’s for years and years to come, ad far as I know, copycat

dreamworks is the only ones to do it as well.

Not always. The themes to One Man Band and

Cars aren’t similar right?

I agree, Phoenician, that the two paired up keeps the theme going- it was a good idea for them

to be paired up.

True, OMB and Cars are hard to compare . . . but what I’d like to think:

Tin Toy & Toy

Story: obvious, TT was an early inspiration for Toy Story

Geri’s Game &

A Bug’s Life: Something that seems ordinary (bugs and chess) becomes surprisinly

epic

Luxo Jr. & Toy Story 2: eh, inanimate objects

alive?

For the Birds & Monsters, Inc. : Hard one. Can’t think of one

yet.

Knick Knack & Finding Nemo: Both have an underwater scene (Sunny Atlantis,

anyone?)

Boundin’ & The Incredibles: Be proud of who you are!

I got it for OMB and

Cars. Life isn’t about the compitition, or the money, or who is better at something, or who has

got the better stuff/sponsership.

Yeah, I didn’t think that all the shorts attached to

the movies had similar morals, but you have made me change that thought.

I’m still thinking about the other ones though. Maybe for

KK and FN: You can’t change what is given to you? The snowman can’t leave the snow

globe, Marlin can’t change that Nemo is growing and has to let go.

Maybe we are reading into this too much.

I think the above idea IS a little too much thought. Both

give off the same kinda “vibe,” but they aren’t purposely done so . . .

Yeah, I don’t think Pixar purposefully tries to make a

same moral, seeing as both teams will be seperate probably.

Does anyone believe Jack-Jack has even more powers than what he displayed in the

movie?

I imagine he can metamorphisize into just about anything – I’d say he’s a shapeshifter like

Mystique from The X-Men. Only, er, not blue and not a woman. But the point still

stands. In fact, when he’s older, in terms of superpowers I could easily see him being the strongest of the

full family.

Yeah, I think Jack has loads

of powers as an added joke.

Yeah, kind of ironic

how the whole family always believed that Jack-Jack didn’t have any powers, then when they discovered what they

actually were, they were more powerful than everyone else’s!

In all honesty, even before Syndrome kidnapped him, I

guessed he’d have at least one power. It was rather heavily oforeshadowed with "I can totally handle

anything he dishes out." Statements like that just beg for an ironic plot twist.

Although all his

powers seem to have a basis in re-arranging molecular structure, I reckon all his (onscreen) powers can be listed

as:

Shapeshifting
Pyrokinesis
Energy Beam Emmision
Flight/Levitation
Teleportation
Phasing

(Walking through walls)
Sticking to walls? (May be levitation)

Sound about right?

Yeah, because his basic power would be shapeshifting, but he’d be able to shapeshift into

forms that would allow him to do all of those other things.

You take this powers stuff very seriously. :sunglasses:

Plus, shpae

shifting was the only power displayed in the actual film.

Earlier on in this thread, you guys were discussing Syndrome not having his mask on.

But, when you think about it, what was the point of not wearing one?

First of all, the suit and cape

already give him away. Secondly, wouldn’t he want to wear a mask to further protect his identity in case he got

caught? :stuck_out_tongue:

~~=oP

True PV,

but it is just so strange to see a Super without his mask.
