It’s about time we discussed him. What more can I say? Johnny D. is one of the best and most popular actors around right now. He’s been nominated for two Academy Awards ( Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Finding Neverland) and has an incredibly diverse array of roles. This is where we can talk about anything related to Johnny, his roles, movies/ upcoming movies, etc.

Haha, yes, I too enjoy Johnny Depp (Who doesn’t?). Besides POTC, I absolutely adored his role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Awesome movie.

I appreciate that he’s a very good actor, able to change into his roles very well, but to be honest, I’ve never really been that keen on him. He does have his own style, but to be honest, I’ve never really figured out what all the fuss is about (boy, am I gonna make some enemies! 
) He’s a good actor, but I wouldn’t go and see a film just because Depp’s in it.
Oh, yeah! That would be awesome! Heck, maybe he could voice the old man from “Up”. Just thinking out loud…
I’m with you, LG. Johnny Depp’s a great actor, but he isn’t the make-or-break factor in whether or not I’ll see a movie. I’ve enjoyed him in POTC, Finding Neverland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Corpse Bride, and he is an amazing character actor, but I don’t exactly get what all the “Oh.My.Gosh. He is so hot!” is about.
Great actor, he is so unique. My fav Johnny Dep movie is Sleepy Hollow.
I’m with lizardgirl and KE on this solely for the fact that the whole “Oh Johnny! He’s so hot!” factor doesn’t appeal to my liking at all. To put it bluntly, I’m not into boys at all, but that’s a different topic of discussion… 
I do have to admit that the dude made me laugh a fair few times in all three installations of the “Pirates” franchise/films; in fact, I would go so far as to say that he “made” the films what they where (and, as dark as those productions were, they sure needed a dose of humorous medicine). So yeah. He’s not my favorites actor, but he is a talented one, and he can be pretty darn hilarious when he wants to be.

I love him in Pirates. He was so funny! I love his character. He is a really good actor. I love him for that.
I’m not really into Johnny Depp… But I did like his performance in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I like him Charlie in the Chocolate factory. I think my second favorite role of him will have to be him in the Corpse Bride.
TSS - I agree with you on that one. He was perfectly cast in Corpse Bride .

I’ve had my issue of a magazine (I forget the title) that has nothing but information on Johnny. And for those of us who would love to see him in a Pixar film, this will be great news : His two favorite animated films are Finding Nemo and The Incredibles .

I would like to see Johnny tackle more voice-over roles. His only one so far was in Corpse Bride, and he was perfect in that. Of course, it would have to be the right film.
