Johnny Depp

Here’s a screenshot of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street .

Oh boy Bill! I like it! It is really dark and scary too. Thanks for posting it up!

One of his films that I really want to watch one of these days is Secret Window . I don’t know why, but it just interests me for some reason.

Oh, and no problem, TSS . I love doing that.

That’s freaky, man… I do like her dress, though. Eheheh.

Thanks for the photo, Bill!

Bill: I can tell. And you are welcome.

Bill- Secret Window is pretty enjoyable. Johnny Depp really makes the film more than anything, though, since at times it gets a little tedious, but there are plenty of twists and turns to make the ending satisfying. It’s definitely worth watching if you’re a Depp fan, to say the least.

Well, do you think he could get nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for his role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street ? Maybe I should’ve brought this up after I see the film, but oh well.

Ah, not a Secret Window fan myself… I guessed the ending when I’d only seen a teaser trailer for the film XD

Mell – I think that if he’d done something more mainstream than a John Waters movie he wouldn’t have gotten near Edward Scissorhands, if he hadn’t already been sending up his role in 21 Jump Street that is. Cry-Baby was a big studio thing, but it was still John Waters XD I think it was the first film ever to bleep out cursing to get a lower rating… Tim Burton didn’t even want to meet Depp (I’m pretty sure that’s in Burton on Burton as well).

I’m a freelance theatre critic for a local paper, and I am so totally going to beg my editor to let me review “Sweeney Todd” the movie! The paper has a pair of regular movie critics, but so far they’ve let me review the movies of “Phantom of the Opera”, “RENT” and “Dreamgirls”.

Depp is uniquely Depp in everything I’ve seen him in, yet each role itself is unique. I didn’t think “Secret Window” was as scary as it could have been, but he was very entertaining to watch .

I was drowning in hype for his performance in the original Pirates when I saw it, which caused me to be a little underwhelmed. I think I need to see it again.

The only things I didn’t really like him in were “Finding Neverland” and “Corpse Bride”. He was still good, I just felt that those characters were kind of…don’t hate me…dull, and didn’t really take advantage of his talents. (Barrie is conceptually an interesting character, but I felt that he was written all in one emotional tone. I understand that he’s supposed to be a quiet, easygoing guy, but the guy never gets mad? Never? )

<3 I loved him most in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka is the best! Not to mention that movie got me into him in the first place.
