Kung Fu Panda 2

I would want to believe that, but I would like some proof of that. Because I don’t want to get excited over another movie that isn’t going to be made.

I mean, i wouldn’t lie about something like that. 8D I know I’m not likable, but I’m not a liar. 8D

Maybe the OP in that thread linked it.

Well, it did showcase a lot of sequels, but I don’t see a KFP 3. Maybe just speculation?

Jeffrey Katzenberg announced officially that -he wants- to do 6 KFP sequels. Personally, if it was speculation, I don’t see why Jeff would say it. That confuses me.

6 KFPs is a very tall order. Ther must be something connected with all of them. Like each story leads to the next event, like in Harry Potter. I hope that they do this right. I don’t want to be disappointed.

I’d probably stop watching after 3 or 4. I don’t want what happened to Shrek to happen with a movie I actually enjoy.

Oh I’m gonna watch all of them if possible. So far, the sequel hasn’t disappointed. So I have no reason to say that the third is gonna be bad. In fact, I think the guys at dreamworks know what they’re doing.

Not what I mean. I mean, if one of them is horrible, I won’t see the next. If 3 is the worst DW movie ever, I won’t see 4. If 4 is just really random, I won’t see 5. And so on and so forth. A sequel to a bad sequel is nearly impossible to make well.

What if the third one is bad, but the fourth one wins the award for best animated movie? Then what? Gotcha thinking there huh?

Then I would watch it, as a rental.

I’m confused. I thought you said that you wouldn’t see it if 3 was the worst?

I give up. Sometimes I just say stupid things, like everyone else. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have come into this thread, because all I can do is make myself look foolish. I haven’t even seen the movie. I just thought it would be a good idea to get into the discussion, and I was wrong, as always. Sorry.

Hey IV. All I’m saying is that you shouldn’t rush to judge another movie unless you do your research and give it a chance. We don’t know what the sequels will have in store. But we must be mindful and present with an open mind and ready eyes.

I felt the same way with Shrek. 3 was very, very bad. So, I didn’t want to see 4. I saw 4, and guess what, it was just as bad. That’s not a surefire way with sequels, but it’s most common. Good sequel to a bad sequel seems unlikely.

Okay, now we’re going way too far off-topic.

Back to kung fu panda 2.

(sorry, but it’s going to far out.)

Shrek & Shrek 2 = Good

Shrek 3 = Bad

Shrek 4 = Dreadful, it’s the worst

I hate them all. But IMO, Shrek 3 is the worst sequel I’ve ever seen.

On the topic of this thread, I hope to see KFP 2. But I can’t until it’s on DVD. :frowning:

Hope that it comes out on DVD soon then. It’s awesome.

Well, it wasn’t exactly full-on crying, but there were a few tears, yes

And yup, I’m guessing that Kung Fu Panda 3 is probably already in its early stages of production - I’m very excited. If DreamWorks can hold the quality of the first and second across six movies, then they should go for it - however, I highly doubt they can, and I think they should stick to maybe 3 or 4 at the most, but I’d be more than happy with just 3!

I’m happy with two actually. But with every sequel, there are expectations. In the past, we used to criticise dreamworks for their sequel approach. but this time, i think they’ve got it on the ball. Only time will tell.
