Hopefully. I despise the Shrek franchise so much that now I hate the first movie, the character, the mention of the name, ugh. I have a complex now. 
I thought that the Shrek films were good up until the third one. The third one had really bad pacing on it and I didn’t like some of the jokes. I thought that the fourth one was slightly better then the third but not as good as the first two.
I never saw the 4th one. Gotta rent it one day.
Ugh, I was already fed up by the third. That’s enoouuuuuugggh! Three is really as far as movies can go unless you’re doing them based off books.
Really? wtf, 6? Haven’t they heard of ‘Overkill’? Or ‘Too much of a good thing is a bad thing?’.
Can’t they see how a fourth movie goes before announcing a sixth?
Or a third? Just a third, please? Lots of potential good movies get strangled by sequels. I’m talking Pirates of the Caribbean, Tron, and Ice Age.

Anyway, if handled well, it is possible to have a good long series.

No. When I said “all”, I was including the sequels. I like all of those series.
Maybe I’m just too open to movies, and too willing to have a good time. Because the movies people dislike and hate shock me sometimes. Well, most of the time.
I don’t think all sequels in a series sucked. Just look at the sequels after Toy Story or the first sequel to Spiderman.
Agreed. A sequel is not automatically bad. Unless it’s TS4.

There should be no Shrek 5, no Cars 3, and no Tangled 2. There are far too many sequels present in the current animation industry and it’s annoying when unnecessary sequels are created just to create a franchise to make more money.
However, DreamWorks has my permission to make as many Kung Fu Panda’s as they wish! I don’t care if I’m feeding my money directly into Mr. Katzenburg’s bank account, if his company can keep up the quality of the first two Pandas, I think the studio should carry on and aim for six.
And please, please, please DreamWorks, can we have more AWESOME villains like Lord Shen in the following sequels? Now, that’s what you call an antagonist!

I still want a KFP 3, but after that THEY MUST STOP. I also heard they’re making an Avatar 2 and 3??? And a an iron Man 3. Not so sure with the former, but the latter is getting me excited…or I’m just biased 'cause he’s my fave superhero…
