Kung Fu Panda 2

I second that. I liked Faarquad, he was funny (John Lithgow, DUH!) and the fairy godmother was already close to the line, but after the second I was like, ‘ENOUGH ALREADY!!’ Luckily KFP will stop after a last, explain-it-all-for-the-sake-of-inner-peace movie.
Wouldn’t it be so sad if Po’s dad was a pacifist and upset that his son is now the Dragon Warrior? :smiling_imp:

Eh, can’t remember. I know James Franco was there, and newcomer Freida Pinto plays his love interest. And of course, Andy Serkis, the go-to guy for mocap, is Caesar, the main ape protagonist.

How did you meet him in real-life? You’re so lucky! I think he was in Australia recent for a pop-culture convention, but I missed out on it!

Has anyone seen Shrek the Fourth? I know a lot of people dismissed it since it was perceived as the barrel of the ‘cow-milking’ for the franchise, but personally, it’s my second favourite after the first movie. It was very sentimental and had a stronger emotional through-line than the the second (which I felt was a ‘Shrek Goes to Hollywood’ kind of mediocre sequel) and the dismal third. Personally, I felt Rumple is the best villain after Faarquad.

Speaking of weird names, the scriptwriters may have been inspired by a historical figure from the founding of Singapore:

I remember in history lessons, my classmates would snigger whenever his name was mentioned. :unamused:

I have to say KFP2 is definitely a step in the right direction for Dreamworks after HTTYD and Megamind. If they can keep the momentum going for Puss in Boots, I’ll say Pixar has a very strong contender for Best Animated Ghetto next year!

Yes, he is.

I did see Shrek 4 and I did not like it only ones I could tolerate were the 1st and 2nd one.

And Draco was a complete jerk in the apes but he did it so long in Harry Potter that it must have been like cake to him! Huge Spoiler here so do not highlight it at all if you have not seen the film! [spoil]Caesar kills him with a fire hose and some electricity that damn dirty ape![/spoil]

Oh… so that’s who Tom Felton played in Apes! :stuck_out_tongue: I didn’t recognise him beneath that messy hairdo. My image of him is of the clean and slickly-gelled Draco Malfoy, just like I can’t imagine Daniel without Harry Potter glasses. I can picture Emma in RL though, with her French bob cut, and Rupert pretty much looks like his character in RL, so no recognition problems there!

I never met him in real life!! I just know from the interviews and stuff.

Tom Felton was in Planet of the Apes? That is news to me! Especially since I haven’t seen that movie and I don’t want to anyways.

Yes he is and he is still the bad guy…I think you should go see it Best movie of the year for me.

No thanks, I’m certain it’ll give me nightmares. Apes creep me out.

My parents were watching that film yesterday. I thought it looked pretty cool, but I preferred a series about different primates, if you know what I’m sayin’. :stuck_out_tongue:

ANYWAY I think KFP2 is better than the first and I would like it if Dreamworks kept making such amazing films.

KFP FTW. I’m getting super excited for the third, though not as excited as I am for Tintin or the Avengers…Still, I’m a hardcore Master Shifu Fan!

They haven’t admitted plans of making a third KFP.

I’ll have to see KFP 2 when it comes out on DVD. I herd they were going to go up to a sixth film but I think they’ll change their mind due to it’s box office disappointment. I think it was just released at the wrong time since it opened aganist The Hangover Part 2.

I think it was HTTYD that has 6 movies slated.

No HTTYD has 2 more movies coming up Idk about KFP.

No, ballboi is right. They’ve announced 6 KFP movies.

6 panda movies, 2 HtTYD movies. Personally, I will see and maybe buy them all!!! :smiling_imp: I can’t wait for the next Panda. They kind of have to, anyway, with that ending. :open_mouth: 8D

So I see you have changed your mind IV you originally were not excited for that many KFP movies.

Yes, after liking the second even better than the first, I am much more open to 6 of them.

Maybe they won’t screw up the series like they did with Shrek.
