Megamind

…There’s just something about that particular poster that disturbs me.

I can’t quite put my finger on what, though.

For one thing, like you mentioned TDIT… his torso seems abnormally long. And it really annoys me when Dreamworks tries to make their characters look like their voice actors on purpose. That character looks too much like Jonah Hill to be enjoyable, and this is all simply speculation, but really.

And… I’ve just never liked men in tights anyway, even if they’re superheroes, so… that weirds me out, too. [spoil]I mean, they even made sure to give him a package… is that not weird?!![/spoil] xDDD

Lol, remove that if you have to, but I don’t think it’s super offensive, so… yeah.

Well, who am I to be saying any of this. I know nothing about the movie, so I might as well shut up.

little chef

little_chef: Well, in the trailer we see Megamind snap his spandex leggings to his butt, so I guess that ‘budgie bump’ was intentional. 8D

Knowing your predisposition for cute babies, you might wanna check the ‘Heroes are not born’ poster in Oh_Andy’s link…

Haha, I actually did look up that poster… and it was adorable! I have to say baby!Megamind really looks like something I’d draw. x3

Wow, what an awesome name, Tighten. NOT.

Does Titan have orange eyes??? :open_mouth:

Well, Titan is the best character design I’ve seen so far(that’s really bad).

Wait a freaking minute, they gave him a package? …I lost my faith in this movie.

It seems that it is funny, but thats it, i was starting to like dreamworks, HTTD was brilliant, and then they make this movie? it seems they are not very interested in making deep films

^Agreed. Dragons was only so amazing because of Chris Snders(who I love!!). DW as a whole makes awful, crap movies. (KFP, HtTYD, and PoE don’t count)

I just realised that his name on the poster reads “Tighten”, and not “Titan” as explained in the Wiki a while back.

To quote Mittens: “Now I’m concerned on a whole number of levels.”

So which is his name? I’m lost…

According to the marketing material, it’s ‘Tighten’.

I actually kind of like him. At leats he’s got a cool color scheme, compared to blue, black, and more blue :unamused: .

I accually did’nt know Jhona Hill’s character was a hero. What a way to spoil it, DW!

Regardless, I still wanna see it.

+1

Are you sure?

Thanks Czarine!

Exactly how I felt.

Well, it’s just like how they make a brilliant movie like KPF and HtTYD, show us that OHH my gosh, they actually have the capability of making a captivating, heartwarming film… and then they turn around not two months later and release Shrek 4, when they should have stopped at 3. ><

little chef

But ironically enough I’ve heard that Shrek 4 is actually more emotional than the others in the series.

I have not yet seen it so I can’t judge, though.

I may still see Megamind though.

Stop dissing movies you haven’t seen yet please, thank you.

Althought this makes me happy , there were a lot of dreamworks fans on imdb that were saying that dreamworks will eventually produce better films that pixar…what a joke :unamused:

But still makes me sad see an animation studio with great potential amking stupid slapstick movies just for the sake of making money

Little-Chef, they should have stopped at 2. The third is awful.

Let’s face it. Unless Chris Sanders get back behind the wheel, Kung Fu Panda 2 is good, DW is hopeless from now on. They don’t make anymore hand-painted films, and I hate Shrek, so HtTYD and KFP are the only recent good ones to me.

However, I’m going to give this one a fair shot, meaning I’ll borrow a friend’s DVD.
