Memorable quotes

This is not a very memoriable quote, but I don’t know why I like it so much:

[spoil]Linguini: I am sorry for any delay, we are a little short tonight.

Skinner: (diguises his voice) Please, take all the time you need.[/spoil]

aZnCdn - I like that one too, actually. Hearing Skinner say “please” was something of a treat… :stuck_out_tongue:

[spoil]“You are an illustration. Why am I even talking to you?” - Remy

“Oh, you just lost your famiily, all your friends. You are…lonely.” - Gusteau

“Yeah, well, you’re dead.” - Remy

“Ahhh, but that is no match for wishful thinking! If you focus on what you’ve left behind, you will never be able to see what lies ahead. Now go up, and look around!” - Gusteau [/spoil]

[spoil]Skinner: Who cooks the ratatouille ? I demand to know! [/spoil]

It makes me wonder when are all of the spoiler tags coming off. So many of them, me getting dizzy! :open_mouth:

TSS - I’ve discussed that with Mitch . My feeling is that we should stop using them in late August, but she points out that even in October, certain members won’t have seen the film (mainly the Brits) .

We’ll keep using them 'til the DVD is out =)

Fine, I can live with that. I just wanted an answer. Sorry for getting off topic about it.

Bill - Cha – read what Dash wrote. There ya’ have it!

Yes, that is an intersting point. Maybe that is why it stuck in my mind.

It seems Skinner has some of my fav quotes.

A few of my favorite lines from the movie (in addition to several already mentioned):

[spoil]When Linguini, being controlled by Remy, stumbles around the kitchen snatching up whatever ingredients Remy wants, throwing in various forms of “excuse me” as he tries to act casual. Then, after grabbing one bottle, he says “Apparently I need this!” That line cracks me up every time.[/spoil]

And…

[spoil]I can’t remember the exact line, but the part where Skinner’s in his office with his lawyer and he suddenly goes hysterical over the rat, snapping his fingers saying, “Ooooooh, it’s over here; no it’s over there!” And then the lawyer asks “Should I be concerned about this? About…you?”[/spoil]

Oh, and this isn’t a line at all, but [spoil]I’ve noticed how in most animated movies involving humans, there always seems to be some sort of midget-sized character in the mix (Edna and Skinner are prime examples). Most movies that have this don’t make any big deal about it; it’s just part of the style of the movie. So, I absolutely loved how Ratatouille seemed to poke fun of that in a way by having Skinner carry a stepladder around with him in the kitchen. I hope that gag was intentional in the way I took it, because I thought it was genius![/spoil]

aZnCdn - Yeah, he owns a good handful of memorable quotes.

Shark Bait - I completely agree with you on that last point you made. The audience cracks up every time he uses the thing…

[spoil]…especially when he adjusts it before he steps up to taste “Linguini’s” ingenious masterpiece of a soup.[/spoil]

:stuck_out_tongue:

Ha! That was hilaaaarious! He must be like 2 feet tall, or something!

Gasduude - Haha! Cha, I think he’s, like, four foot something. I’m not much taller…

Yeah, like I should be talking. I’ve always been on the short side… :stuck_out_tongue:

You’re short, too? Awesome… high-five

[spoil]“Perhaps I have been a bit, er, 'ash…on our new garbage boy.” - Skinner[/spoil]

(snigger)

Yep! Always been the shortest in my class. However, I’ve recently been catching up with most of my friends. thanks God for teenage growth spurts

[spoil]It’s like your involving me with crime…and I let you. Why do I let you? -Emile[/spoil]

Gasduude - Awesome. Heheh.

And yay: You quoted the best Emile line! I love that bit in the film…

[spoil]“Okay, Emile…shows up…with all…! Heh. I told him not to! He goes and blabs… Eh. It’s a disaster!” - Remy[/spoil]

When you’re the older sibling, it is no hard feat to relate to a situation such as that. I laugh every time that moment in the film rears its head around the corner. (snigger)

AH yes. I feel Remy’s Pain. Siblings can indeed be very annoying because, well they are.

[spoil]Emile: Hey, the band’s really on tonight![/spoil]

Bill - Oh, that’s what he said!!! Ha! Thanks for that, dude!
