Welp, I guess there’s no harm in posting up some of my non-Pixar-related artwork. Truth be told, though, I think that most of them are rather horrible. So far, the only ones I’m proud of are the freakin’ bee, Larryboy, and Simba ones (and even the Simba sketch is rather “messed up”).
I’m also going to draw Gurgi from The Black Cauldron, and I’m going to do my utmost to make it look good. (snigger)
Oh, and to explain the whole “Thank you for the pins…” quote that is pasted on the Tinkerbell piece: A good acquaintance of mine at a local Disney Store bestowed upon me two free exclusive Ratatouille pins because I told her that I had seen the film seventeen times. I guess she considered me to be a “true fan” or something, but she still shouldn’t have given me those pins. Heh. So, in order to thank her, I drew her a picture of Tinkerbell. Sadly, she left the department the day before I went to the Disney Store to give her the drawing, but there is a chance that she’ll get it eventually. Heh…
So yeah. Enjoy! I’ll post more pictures in due time.
vimfuego - Cats Don’t Dance is excellent, in my opinion. I really wish it had gotten more attention than it did; it was only in cinemas for, like, two weeks. The animation is very simple, yet effective, and the story has been “used” a fair amount of times, but it still feels “fresh” nonetheless. I absolutely love it!
Starting Monday, I shall be busy beyond measure, what with college and all. Therefore, I would appreciate it if no one would ask for any requests at the present time.
I love the Danny one, even though I’ve never saw that movie!
And, of course, the Simba one! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
Aww, very sweet! I love the shading and her little whiskers. She has a sort of displeased look about her face, like she’s twitching her nose at something.
Yes, she has a thing against her half-sister, Mozart; killed her pups and claimed her spot as top female, she did. Despite her notorious nature and cunning personality, however, she seems to be a very reliable asset in her clan as far as leadership goes.
I’m not if you folks in England receive the Animal Planet channel, but if you do…you should check out the show (Meerkat Manor). It’s really quite intriguing.
Bill - Next on the list is a sketchy collage of one of my favorite characters from the worst Disney film on earth, The Black Cauldron. I decided not to hold it off any longer and just went ahead and drew a few of the dude’s poses. You’ll see who I’m talking about later on…
If you go back a page, you will also notice, at the bottom of the page, a drawing of a meerkat I did.
Mitch- Oh, I think Meerkat Manor was on one of the main channels for a while, BBC or Channel 4 or something. I watched a bit of it when it was on, but now it’s moved to Animal Planet, I can’t be bothered. Looking forward to your next piece of art!
