I like them Mitch. Nice pictures of the two main characters. Simple, yet nice.
I like the ones where you use the phrase ‘Proud to be…’ for each of the films! Keep up the good work!

thedriveintheatre, The Star Swordsman, and WillZMarler - Thank you very much for your comments, everyone! I appreciate them.
Poignant, indeed. Those guys at Pixar are geniuses…
Oh, and that particular shot of Russell can be located in the “Up: Kevin - The Undiscovered Species” behind-the-scenes clip, which you can currently find on this page: home.disney.go.com/movies/
You took the words right out of my mouth.
Concerning Mr. Fredricksen: Exactly. It’s that torment within him that adds an extra level of depth to his character, which, in turn, makes him more appealing, if not from a sentimental perspective.
I find it interesting that this same principle was exercised in Finding Nemo. Marlin ultimately becomes something of a foster parent to Dory, and in doing this he sees his son, Nemo, in that character.

Thanks for the Kevin featurette link! Unfortunately, it redirects to the Oz site which is woefully out of date…
But I watched it on YT, and I must say, Kevin’s now becoming my favourite character! I’ll review it in greater detail on the appropriate thread.
But anyway, I can’t wait to see your next sigs/avatars!
thedriveintheatre - Aw, man! I’m terribly sorry about that. At least you were able to view it on YouTube. I’m glad that you liked it!
You’re welcome, in any case, and thanks!
– Mitch
Concerning your recent artwork, Mitch, are you still using Paint or have you got a better program since your first post?
-WillZMarler
WillZMarler - Oh, heck, I dumped Paint ages ago. I’m currently using my dad’s Photoshop CS2 program. It’s much more reliable.
– Mitch
Ha, HA! That is so like Violet! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and
Wink" /> Mind if I use that as my signature?
BTW, why did so many of the older images disappear? And how could I view them?
Thanks, Mitch !
violet parr - Ha-ha. Sure, go right on ahead!
I’m not exactly sure why most of those dated graphics disappeared, but I think it may have been because I deleted them from my Photobucket account ages ago. Most of them sucked, though, so you’re not really missing out on anything. (snigger)
– Mitch
They didn’t suck Mitch. I, along with other Pixar Planet members, loved them.
Oh, Mitch, I’m sure they didn’t suck. Personally, I would’ve liked to see them. Mainly because I LOVE your catchphrases.
And thanks for the signature!
Ha-ha. Well, thanks, guys. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to retrieve those lost images, but a few of them are still up, so at least you can get a taste of what the craziness was like. (snigger)
Violet Parr - You’re most welcome!
– Mitch
I was originally going to post all of these elongated graphics up as a series in my signature box, but I fell in love with a “Carl and Ellie” screenshot instead, so here’s the set if anyone would like to use one or several of them:
Here’s a Russell signature, as well:
Russell is so cute, I swear…
– Mitch
I love the new batch Mitch. They look really cute. It looks like something one could pin on their shirt or something.
They’re all simply too lovable not to smile at! I especially like “Explorer” with Russel’s proud look, “Comedian”, “Chocoholoic”, & “Help?” The last one’s very cute. Nice work!
I’m sure your ‘beginning graphics’ wouldn’t suck. They’d just be less awesome!
I love the new series of badges! I wonder if there’s some way to BBCode them to stand side by side in a row? I like ‘Comedian’, probably because Dug’s the only one with the tagline on the bottom edge. Any particular reason why?
‘Help’ got a chuckle out of me too. Keep on truckin’! The release of the biggest movie of the summer is just weeks away!
The Star Swordsman - Ha-ha! I never thought of them as pins or badges before. What a neat idea…
Thanks for the comment!
bright dot-dasher - Thank you very much! I’m glad ya’ like 'em.
thedriveintheatre - Ha! “…less awesome.” I like how you said that.
The original intention was to get them to stand side-by-side, but when I tried it I found that they were too big. If any of you guys would like me to resize them so that they fit, though, I’d be happy to do so.
Mmm, I think it’s just because it seemed to me like the only shot that would compliment a horizontal caption.
Thank you very much, dude!
– Mitch
Well, yeah, sure. If you got the time, I’d like the badges side by side like vertical window blinds in a single signature, if that’s possible, Mitch! I was gonna try that, but since you offered, I’m too lazy to do it. Heheh.
Those badges are great. You’ve captured each character’s personality pretty well. Ha-ha! Russell’s face in the ‘help?’ graphic. Where did you get the image of Ellie in the ‘zoologist’ graphic? I haven’t seen that one before…
Loving the new graphics, Mitch! As Rachel said^, you captured their personalities very well. I think my favorites would have to be Dug the “Comedian” and Russell on the “help” signature. He’s so sweet and innocent.
