Among other films.
Managed to see American Sniper last Tuesday… damn, was it packed. Brilliant film, though.
Also recently saw Inherent Vice; very enjoyable. It’s not for everyone, but my mind certainly was blown. Hoping for more Thomas Pynchon adaptations to come.
Earlier this month, I went to the theaters to see Night at the Museum 3. You guys just have to see it sometime it was soooooo funnyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
I’m also still considering checking out Big Hero 6 sometime, but the only thing I know of about the movie so far is the Baymax character. ![]()
A Most Violent Year is officially on my must-see list. You don’t win Best Film at the National Board of Review for nothing… looks like exceptional performances all around, happy to see Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain getting good reception.
I’m looking forward to seeing Kingsman The Secret Service
The trailer for The Salvation just got released: screenrant.com/the-salvation-trailer-movie/
My ass will be in my recliner when this hits VOD at the end of the month. Looks like an exceptional western film; they’re becoming increasingly difficult to find nowadays.
The first trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak is here: traileraddict.com/crimson-peak/trailer
I have no words… that’s a damn good thing, by the way.
Burned through Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ingnorance) and The Theory of Everything (2014) today. Looking forward to watching Boyhood soon.
The three films that are on my must-see list at the moment are True Story, Clouds of Sils Maria, and Ex Machina. Looking forward to seeing Slow West, The End of the Tour (2015), and Z for Zachariah.
Going to see Tomorrowland… tomorrow! ![]()
Let us know how it goes!
I saw Inside Out today! I can’t say much about it, but it was a breath of fresh air.
Ah, I’m glad to hear Inside Out is good.
Tomorrowland was pretty good! It had an interesting message and I liked the way Tommorowland was presented. I think there might have been some cut dialogue or something, because a few things felt a bit vaguely explained. Not as good as some of Brad Bird’s other films, but still a fun movie. I appreciate the fact that it’s a sci-fi movie with a female protagonist. Overall, I’d recommend it.
[spoil]The relationship between George Clooney’s character and Athena felt a little weird at times, seeing as she looks like a young girl but he used to be in love with her. It makes sense in context, but it was still kinda weird
[/spoil]
I spied an Incredibles reference in the film- [spoil]when Casey goes to the sci-fi shop, you can see a Mr Incredible action figure on the shelf. It falls down during the ensuing fight scene.[/spoil]
I think it got a higher age rating than it should have in my country- it was rated 12 rather than PG- but I suspect that was because there was a swear word in there that’s a little too strong for the lower ratings.
Nausicaa- Not sure if I’ll see it in theaters, because I’m strapped on cash. But when I do see it I will keep an eye out for the Incredibles cameo! (Also, P.S. Nausicaa, I’m moving to the UK in August!)
Anyone see the two trailers for Black Mass? Here: traileraddict.com/black-mass/trailer

I’m a sucker for well done gangster pictures. This one looks to be epic.
^omg I had no idea that was Johnney Depp until the end! I’m also looking forward to this movie, I love gangster films.
Also looking forward to Quentin Tarantino’s Hateful 8.
I saw Tommorowland. I’ll admit it was different thatn what I thought it was going to be. Felt like more gritty and mature version of Meet The Robinsons.
Thats a description that certainly gets me interested! How does it stack up to Bird’s other films?
Looking to watch Wild Horses on VOD really soon.
The first trailer for Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies is out: traileraddict.com/bridge-of-spies/trailer
Also went through the first trailers for Macbeth (2015) and Z for Zachariah: traileraddict.com/macbeth-20 … er-trailer

I watched Toy Story 3 the other night, and I had forgotten how good that film is. Great, amazing, are better words for it than good actually.
^I’ve really been meaning to rewatch TS3, and most other Pixar films in general lately! I saw Monsters University again a few days ago and I still really enjoy that. Underrated.
