Wow sheer genius right there.
A Bug’s Life was a good film. It was sucessful I believe. The problem was, it is just
underrated, like you guys said. But hey, if A Bug’s Life is Pixar’s “Worst”, then Pixar’s best would
totally dominate and wipe out the compitition.
A Bug’s Life wasn’t a bad movie. Everyone I know found it enjoyable. They just like the
other Pixar movies better
Here is my theory. This is Pixar’s second animated feature. Maybe there was some sort
of challenge inputed into the movie.
Antz came
out at the same time, plain and simple. That’s why it wasn’t popular. People overlooked it.
Some thought Antz would be better than a Bug’s Life, but in my opinion, it’s the other way
around
Try watching Antz. I watched it again more recently. It’s more for adults than kids. Sure
they refer to stuff that kids just won’t understand. But it’s still weird.
I did, but I still believe Bugs is a lot better. I also think it’s funnier too.
Yeah, it’s the one movie for me
(Disney/Pixar wise) that I actually liked the main character. Flik was rather annoying at times, but I really
felt sorry for him when he got caught in his ‘lie’.
I have seen
a little bit of Antz. I stilled loved A Bug’s Life better. Something about Antz was a little bothersome to
me.
With Flick, and the same applies to Woody from TS, I think the most attractive thing about him
that you don’t see in many main characters, (at least, not in Disney films) is that he makes mistakes and isn’t
perfect, and that’s why so many people can relate to him.
One cool thing about Flik is that
even though he isn’t perfect, and he always gets in to trouble, he has reeally cool inventions. Who would’ve
thought of making something just from rocks and leaves.
Even though Flik was the disgrace in the colony, it turned out that
he was brave enough to stand up against the grasshoppers. I guess the ants are so busy working for the
grasshoppers, they forgot how strong they are as a colony
In my opinion,
Flik has to be one of the best developed characters out there. He annoys me to pieces with his happy attitude,
but when he got beat up I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. I found out in the end I like him- one of the
few main characters I actually fandom over.
I feel sorry for Flik when he unintentionally brought circus bugs to
the colony. I thought the circus bugs were funny, but I also feel sorry for them when they had to help Flik and
his colony. But I love the bird making part.
A Bug’s Life is my favorite Pixar film
besides Incredibles .
I love Flik and Hopper !!! They rule !!!
The DW rippoff , Antz , just plain

I love A Bug’s Life,
and Flik is my favorite Pixar character! He’s just so cute. I loved the variety of characters?And Hopper is my
favorite Pixar villain, too.
Antz was…I dunno, blah. Everybody kept telling me how good it was so I
rented it, and I was like, “What IS this?” The whole message seemed muddled, none of the characters
appealed much to me (I thought Z was too whiney to be likable), and the character designs were harsh and ugly.
There were some good scenes, and I liked the music, but it lacked the innocence that made ABL so great.
Antz wasn’t a bad movie. I enjoyed watching it. But I
wonder. How would you guys compare A Bug’s Life, Antz, and the Ant Bully?
A Bug’s Life is the best- best characters (as Z can be a bit too pessimistic at times)
and best storyline, but Antz, IMO, is also a very enjoyable film. The best thing about Z is really that he is so
different to most leading characters, and the storyline of the film is pretty good. The Ant Bully’s the worst of
the three, not only because the whole concept had already been done twice, but because the characters didn’t
really grasp me.
