Speaking of Dash, I just read the creepiest and most disturbing MLP fanfic ever last night. Not sure whether it’s alright to mention the title here and let members find it for themselves, but Bronies would know what I am referring to. Let’s just say it involves pastries.
Said fanfic also has multiple alternate fan endings. Personally I like to read that fanfic, followed by ‘Rocket to Insanity’, and ‘Rocket to Insanity Alternate Ending’. There are other interesting endings (like Fluttershy being revealed to have written the fic after listening to Death Metal, or the story being a nightmare Pinkie had and her being comforted by Dash afterwards), but that sequence (******** → Rocket to Insanity → Rocket to Insanity Alternate Ending) was the one I most liked which had drama and yet a happy ending.
Oh yeah, and be warned. If you do discover this fanfic, you must be prepared to never look at one pony the same way again. If anything, you can assure yourself that it is “just a fanfic” and not Canon.

Yeah. Reading it was like those gross-out “see how long you can go” games at parties. And yet we managed to successfully stomach pizza while reading…
IV: I don’t think you should. It’s not for the faint-hearted. I watched Final Destination 5 last night and I laughed at some parts, but I can’t help wincing reading that fanfic the night before. Maybe because it happens to adorable critters from a children’s show instead of obnoxious yuppies.
Leirin: Perhaps we should discuss this more in the ‘other’ board? But yeah, if you feel horrible and dirty after reading that fanfic, you should read ‘Rocket to Insanity’ followed by ‘Rocket to Insanity Alternate Ending’. It’s extremely cathartic, but at least you reach a happy ending!
Anyway, said fanfic was probably inspired by the ‘Party of One’ episode, where Pinkie temporarily ‘loses it’. Here’s an interesting Japanese fandub of the iconic scene - I love how Madame LeFlour speaks English in a posh accent instead of the original English dub’s French!

Haha, I love this! Is it actually being fandubbed by a Japanese person? The pronunciation sounds pretty good. Speaking of which, I’ve been curious about when this show will be airing in Japan. I’ve ran a bunch of searches for it in Japanese and not a single thing seems to come up–will it air at all? I imagine it’d be pretty big over there!

Sorry 'bout that. I just couldn’t help it, given that the story is so notorious. Oh man, I haven’t read it, but some of the stuff I’ve read about it makes me think that it’ll be either horrible and scarring or so over-the-top its runs right into narm.
Have any of you played Story of the Blanks? Its actually pretty cool. Its a fan-made 8-bit game where Twilight and Applebloom go into the Everfree forest and Apple wanders off, only to find a town full of ponies without cutie marks, who welcome her to celebrate the “party” with them. Major creepiness ensues…
Also, does anyone else ship Applebloom/Spike like I do?

I really don’t see what the big deal is though. I didn’t particularly enjoy reading it, but I didn’t expect as big an uproar over it. I’ve read worse.
The most disturbing MLP fanfic I’ve read was called Sweet Apple Massacre or something like that. It basically involves Big Macintosh [spoil]pulling a “Cupcakes” on the CMC’s but with a little more… well it’s disturbing, I’ll leave it at that.[/spoil]

As for the Japanese fandub - I’m not sure if it’s by a bona-fide Japanese - but the dub sounds authentic to me! I know there is a Latin Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese dub, but yeah, seeing how Japan isn’t afraid to like things cute and cuddly, I’m surprised they haven’t gone for that market yet!

I wasn’t aware of an Applebloom/Spike shipping thing going on. Which episode was that screenshot from? I may have to study that scene again. I know Spike x Rarity is pretty canon, but sadly, it’s unrequited.
Draik: I actually stumbled upon S.A.M. before I found that legendary fanfic. I got to the first amputation point and then I skimmed to the end. I may have to read it in detail again, but from the comments I’ve read, ‘that’ fanfic was more shocking because it’s more possible (due to that ‘Party of One’ episode, we know Pinkie is capable of losing it). There has been no canon indication or evidence that Big Mac is capable of being a psychopath, hence the dissociative ‘Nah, that can’t happen’ feeling some readers felt.
