Named the Same

Killler123 - Wow. You have almost the entire Incredibles family in there! That’s pretty neat.

Le_chocolat - I’d think it would be kinda cool to have a friend named Eva. Whenever you call out that person’s name you can say it like WALL•E says it. (chuckle)

Killer123: Wow, you’re only missing a Violet and a Dash now. Then you have the whole entire Parr family. How cool.

Wow. Like Mitch said, if I had a friend named Eva, I would not let up on saying her name as “Evaaaaaa!” at every opportunity. Heheh.

All I can think of is Bob … and he’s far from a Bob Parr! xD

My sister’s name is Emily, just like Jessie’s previous owner. And my sister pretty much did the same little ‘transformation’ though she’s turned dark now. She hates toys or anything babyish like that …

I know a Mike.

Hey, me too! In fact, 4 of 17 people in my class last semester was named Mike.

There’s an Andy in my church group now.

My brother’s best friend when he was a kid was a kid named Andy.

This might not be a person I personally know of, but John Travolta (I did get a few cups of coffee with him during last summer) played a character named “Woody” in a movie titled, “Wild Hogs.”

Guess who’s co-starring with him? Yep, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, Tim Allen, and him calling John ‘Woody’ is just… hilarious.

Wow, Dragon of Omnipotency, you had a few cups of coffee with John Travolta?! :open_mouth:

Speaking of Wild Hogs, I never thought about Tim Allen saying ‘Woody’ when I watched it. Thanks for bringing that up. I gotta go watch it again! :stuck_out_tongue:

One of my cousin’s friend’s name is Eve and her sister’s name is Mary. I always thought that was kinda funny.

I think almost everyone knows a Bob or a Mike.

I don’t think anyone knows a Walle. XD
Maybe a Wally…

There’s a guy from one of my old schools whose nickname was Remy and his real name was Remington. Although I think Remington was a more unlikely name than Remy.

I also know a John. XD

That’s quite a lot! Wow!

I know an Alec.
Also, there used to be this classmate I had whose real name was Adolfo (I may have mispelled it) but people kept calling him “Alfredo” by mistake, and it eventually led to him being “nicknamed” “Linguini”.

For the first time in my left, I’ve met a real person called Randall. I think he was a bit freaked out when I squealed in his face as he told me his name.

In high school, I knew someone named Paul Sherman. Reminded me of Finding Nemo and every time I saw him, I thought of P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way Sydney.

My parents’ accountant’s name is Robert, but we’ve always called him “Bob.” :stuck_out_tongue: Never made me think of Bob Parr though - I am not an Incredibles fan at all.

I wish people would call me “Eva” in real life, since that is a nickname someone gave me a long time ago. It sounds way neater than my real name.

A friend of ours from church (he’s an older guy) always told stories about a friend he had named Pompidou. Of all names, though…!

One time we went to the cemetary in town, and we saw someone named “Remie”.

And my friend from Canada’s best friend’s last name is McCrea. I completely flipped out, and when I met him, I’m like “dude your last name is AMAZING!!!” And he looked at me like  haha

I can’t think of any more at this point, but I think I have more…

Wait! I have an uncle (by marriage) whose name is John…!

Neat stories, guys!

lizardgirl - Ha-ha! That’s great.

Hannahmation - How cool! I used to know what Mr. Sherman’s first name was (in Finding Nemo); it may have been Paul. (heh)

Puh-ha!!

– Mitch

P. Sherman’s first name is Philip, isn’t it (according to the P. Sherman tocip in the Finding Nemo section)? The name of a classmate of mine is Philipp. Okay, with two Ps at the end, but still the same name

Witch_of_Night - Ah, yes! You’re right. It is Philip. Thanks for reminding me!

– Mitch

My name is Emily! So I actually have a Pixar character with the same name as me! And I used to own a Jessie doll. Huh, maybe she’s me! Wouldn’t count on it though. I was 4 or 5 when TS2 came out.

In my sister’s class, there’s a kid named Hudson, like Doc Hudson. He even passed out Cars valentine’s according to my sister. Weird. . .

My dad is a sergeant in the National Guard, so we could call him Sarge if we felt like it.

That’s about it. I know, sucky list, but hey! I’m the only one of what I’ve read that has a character with the same name.

This semester I have a professor who’s first name is Anton. He’s the opposite of Anton Ego, but it will be fun to hear/use that name twice a week for class (We can call our professors by their first name at my school)!
