A few go by their first name where I go, the only 2 I have now that don’t are my math professor and my online instructor. My old art professor (I still talk to him from time to time, he’s really cool, kind of a campus celebrity) goes by his first name. It’s kind of weird, but at the same time, it makes them feel more approachable, which is really great. Professors are usually way cooler than teachers.
As for friends with same names, I actually don’t have any, but I know a guy named Carl. If you knew him, you’d understand why I never ever EVER get him cross-referenced with Carl from Up. He’s,… an interesting person to say the least
Yeah, it is weird at first, but calling them by their first names definitely makes them seem more approachable.
I forgot another one. I worked for someone named Roz last year. She sat behind the desk of the financial aid department at my school. I did most of the filing of the paperwork she went through - she’s definitely more laid back than Roz in MI!
Jessie- I have a friend with the same name cept it’s spelled Jesse.
Emily- My friend Jesse’s little sister is named Emily whom he is protective of.
I giggle to myself whenever I hear the names in Toy Story.
I know this really annoying guy who’s named Kevin.
Whenever I seem to bump into him I say; [spoil]Kevin’s a GIRL?![/spoil] much to his annoyance xD
But that’s all. There’s not much Pixar-named people in my family/contacts/etc.
I have a uncle named Randall (He’s a jerk, my aunt died early last year, and then he started dating soon afterwards. thank goodness his new girlfriend left him when he went to the store). Also, I have a cousin Emily. I can’t think of any others at the moment, because I have way too many family members.
Edit:Oh, there’s also this bully at my school named Mac, and one of my friend’s names is DJ. I also have another uncle named Charles, and my brother’s name is Billy (the name of the baby in Tin Toy is Bill). One of my friends last year was named James. My dad’s name is Frank (some guy in The Incredibles that was seen after the family defeated The Omnidroid). Oh I just remembered I have a relative named Hal. 
My cousin’s name is Jessie :3 . She’s my oldest cousin in all…nine of my cousins combined…and the only girl cousin on my dad’s side 
. The same goes with Cali on my mom’s. The oldest and the only girl.
And I used to have a lizard named Gill, but he died a while ago after I moved to California and giving him to my brother’s best friend. His girlfirend died before I came back…and he kept her skeleton until he gave me the tank back for my snake. Ewww.
My “step grandfather” (who is younger than my dad XD ) is named Michael (Mike’s real name, remember?)…and my favorite actor’s name is Michael (York <3 ).
I have a cousin named Remy, and two friends named Russel. One of my best friends is named Frank, and I have friends named Lizzi, Emily and Tony. My step-dad is named John.

Emile: A girl in my youth group (Emily), but some of us call her Emile.
Barbie: A classmate of my sister’s in Elementery school.
Jessie: A friend from High school, only he spelt it “Jesse”

No one close to me is related by name, sadly.
But at QuakeCon (a gaming convention) in 2008, a guy by the name of James Sullivan won a brand spankin’ new red mustang.
The Incredibles: Not-so-ironically, a lot of people I dislike at my school are named Anthony or Tony. None of them are Rydinger though. My grandpa’s name is Robert, and he’s pretty strong… one of my friends saw a person named Robert Parr commenting on her Spanish teacher’s Facebook profile, and on a fan page I saw someone named Helen Parr… and my assistant karate instructor’s dad’s name is Buddy.
Everything Else: My tubby cousin with a beard is named Allen… whom they sometimes call Al. I’ve never seen him in a chicken suit though, which is good for my sanity. My little brother’s name is Andy.
