Mitch - Ah, I see. Well, I hope your dad does find the time to take you to Disneyland sometime soon… Heh, don’t we all need a vacation every so often? Some more than others, though. Heh.
1. Cool. I thought you might.
2. Really? I guess if you’ve been going to Disneyland a while, you would get used to getting your photo taken with characters. I thought you may have thought you were to old to that type of thing, but then I read the next part about you wanting Chip ‘n’ Dale’s autograph. LOL
The Star Swordsman - Unless something unexpectedly pops up, there is a 100% chance that my dad, sister, aunt, and I will visit the Disneyland and California parks this Saturday. I can’t wait, to say the least! I’ve been waiting for this vacation for three months straight…
I went on the Submarine Voyage sometime at the beginning of this summer and to contrst TSS’s review, I found it a little disappointing. It probably was because the anitcipation for it was so great (I love Disneyland and almost all their rides-- slow, fast just as long as its good! and Finding Nemo is my favorite Pixar movie). I thought the whole opening was a little bland. There are a good few minutes where all you see is the scuba diver bobbing up and down. The animation is pretty good, and the Jellyfish scene is really well done. I think the whole ride could have used more fishes and better animatronics. I goes that’s just what I expect from a Disneyland ride. Trust me, it is no where near elaborate as Splash Mountain or Pirates of the Caribbean.
It’s still worth a ride… but in my opinion a 2-3 hour wait is just too long for the result.
JamieLew - Heh. I’ll take your word for it. I never did get to ride the dang thing on Saturday, as the freakin’ line was just too long. Even at 11:30 PM there were a hundred people waiting for it!
On the plus side, I did get a good barrel full of pictures. I shall post them up in a separate section of these boards.
Yeah, I mean it’s worth it just because it’s new to go on it but I think you could wait until the popularity goes down and the lines get shorter. I went an hour before opening and by the time we got to the submarine from the entrance, it was already an hour long. And that’s the shortest it will be all day!
I’ll get that pass thingly they have as soon as i get into the park. You could go on other rides until your time is to go on. This ride looks interesting, might go on it when i go there sometime next month. I can still remember the old submarine ride they had before they change it to Finding Nemo ride.
i havn’t been to disneyland since that ride been opened so i really don’t know for sure. But the ride should have a fastpass even if it is new. The next time i do to disneyland (hopefully next month) i’ll tell you if they have them or not. I really think they do for that ride.
After a vain attempt at trying to attain a position in one of the seats on the Finding Nemo Submarine Ride at Disneyland some time ago, I shall regain my composure and try again tomorrow! Yes, my dad, sister, a couple of acquaintances, and I are going to take a trip to Disneyland…again. Hopefully, I’ll get to ride the dang attractioin this time around. I’m bringing the camera too, so we’ll see how it goes…!
