Nemo Submarine Ride at Disneyland!

Aside from the sub ride, I think most of you all will notice the loads of Nemo stuff being sold at shops around the ride area.

Mitch: Yeah I hope so too. I’d like to go at least once, just to see what it’s like.

The Star Swordsman - Haha. I’m sure. Besides the Finding Nemo merchandise, I’ll be keeping an eye out for Ratatouille toys as well.

lennonluvr9 - Cha – you’d love it, dude.

You have fun with that Mitch.

Meh, the last time I ever went to Disney Land/World was at the turn of the century. But am remembering it was late that year I traveled to Florida to go to DW and all the other Theme Parks that were there as well.

I hope in the next year or so I will be able to go to Disney Park. But this time, I may take the trip to California and obviously see DL over there while I am. Although I did hear that is not as attracted as the one in Florida is in terms of the North American Parks in the world.

Have fun, Mitch! You should ask if you can go on a school day, then it will be less busy. Are you going to buy any merchandise, and try to get a photo with Remy? 'Cause that would be awesome if you actually met Remy!

rachel - Thank you, rachel!

I ddidn’t go to Disneyland the last time I said I might, either. One reason behind these delays is the fact that my dad is busy, busy, busy, and busy, so the chances of us visiting the park are rather slim at the moment. Also, the Disney corporation has imbedded into the schedule a series of “black-out days”…in which employees have to pay the regular fee to enter one (or several) of the Disneyland parks. My mom and I are going to check and see if this Saturday is a black-out day; if it is, then there is a good chance that my dad, sister, and I won’t be going to the park this weekend.

As for school days: Well, we would go, but my dad is so busy that it just wouldn’t work out. It will be impossible to visit the park on a weekday once I attend college this summer, as well. Soooo…

To answer your questions, rachel:

1. - Yep. I will, indeed, purchase any Ratatouille-related merchandise (or non-Ratatouille-related memorabilia) that intrigues me.

2. - Nope. I used to love hanging out with people in giant, fuzzy costumes, but the very idea of it doesn’t appeal to me very much anymore, unfortunately. (However, I do want to get Chip and Dale’s autograph really bad, so that might happen while I’m there…)

So yeah. I hope we get to go to the park this Saturday! Goodness knows I need a vacation, and bad:unamused:

I hope you go and get to ride it soon Mitch.

Thanks! So do I…

When my mom went to Disneyland last week, she said that the line for the ride was so long that it stretched all the way to the Matterhorn. Let’s hope my dad, sister, and I actually get on the thing when we do go to visit Disneyland…

Remember, when you first get there, make sure the first thing you do is run to that line.

Mitch - Ah, I see. Well, I hope your dad does find the time to take you to Disneyland sometime soon… Heh, don’t we all need a vacation every so often? Some more than others, though. Heh.

1. Cool. I thought you might. :sunglasses:

2. Really? I guess if you’ve been going to Disneyland a while, you would get used to getting your photo taken with characters. I thought you may have thought you were to old to that type of thing, but then I read the next part about you wanting Chip ‘n’ Dale’s autograph. LOL

The Star Swordsman - Will do, dude.

Amen to the max, dude… high-fives rachel

Cha, I’m not much one for big plushy costume dudes anymore, but there is the exceptional character… Heheh.

Thanks, by the way! I hope dad has time, too…

– Mitch

Did you ride the sub ride yet Mitch? If you did, how was it?

The Star Swordsman - Unless something unexpectedly pops up, there is a 100% chance that my dad, sister, aunt, and I will visit the Disneyland and California parks this Saturday. I can’t wait, to say the least! I’ve been waiting for this vacation for three months straight…

– Mitch

Ah, I see! Well, good luck!

Thank you! I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures with my handy-dandy, stubborn camera phone. Heheh.

Can’t wait to see them, though I have been on the ride already, it will be fun to look at.

I went on the Submarine Voyage sometime at the beginning of this summer and to contrst TSS’s review, I found it a little disappointing. It probably was because the anitcipation for it was so great (I love Disneyland and almost all their rides-- slow, fast just as long as its good! and Finding Nemo is my favorite Pixar movie). I thought the whole opening was a little bland. There are a good few minutes where all you see is the scuba diver bobbing up and down. The animation is pretty good, and the Jellyfish scene is really well done. I think the whole ride could have used more fishes and better animatronics. I goes that’s just what I expect from a Disneyland ride. Trust me, it is no where near elaborate as Splash Mountain or Pirates of the Caribbean.

It’s still worth a ride… but in my opinion a 2-3 hour wait is just too long for the result.

JamieLew - Heh. I’ll take your word for it. I never did get to ride the dang thing on Saturday, as the freakin’ line was just too long. Even at 11:30 PM there were a hundred people waiting for it! :unamused:

On the plus side, I did get a good barrel full of pictures. I shall post them up in a separate section of these boards.

Well, Maybe next time Mitch.
