Looking at the new TV spot, it appears that Ratatouille will break away from the other Pixar
films and feature the new Disney logo that debuted last summer with that dreaded Pirates movie. As much as I like
the new logo, I was hoping they would save the one that usually goes attached to Pixar films.
So does this mean that we are going to see the Walt Disney logo with the dusk
theme with “When You Wish Upon A Star” in the back right? I don’t think that it is a problem, but At
the same time, I am going to miss the old logo.

I shall miss the old, “original” logo before
the feature films, but the new one kinda makes me smile for some reason. It sure is alot more fancy, that’s for
sure…

hmmm - I’ll be interested to see how this one pans out as Pixar used to have a
separate Disney logo all their own. I wonder if they will now conform.
Sorry for the large size, but
here is the new
logo:

Ya know, sometimes fancy
isn’t always better…I like the regular Pixar logo better.
I guess it looks okay. I really enjoy the new disney logo. I don’t mind the
change.
It’s very magical, I’ll say that, and Disney is different to Pixar- Pixar has that
whole simple, streamlined and modern thing going on, whilst with Disney, it’s really all about being whimsical
and magical. I think it’s an improvement on their past ones.
And this
one is CG animated. Pixar is a CG animated studios. I think that the change is a great idea now.

I like the new one - and I’m not a really a person for
change. It looks really cool, and detailed. And it sort of matches Pixar, now. It will be cool seeing that on the
big-screen, even though I’m used to the old blue Disney logo.
Don’t get me wrong, the new logo’s great. But
here’s the thing, even though the logo has only appeared a couple of times, every movie it’s been attached to
I’ve hated, ohh how I hated those damn Pirates movies, Meet the Robinsons, more like Meet the lost 90 minutes
and I didn’t even look at Santa Clause 3 because I know it’s so bad. So yeah, good logo, never been attached to
anything I’ve remotely liked yet, maybe this will be a first! I really miss the old one Pixar made (I believe
the new one was done by Weta- you know, Peter Jackson’s company)
I think oone thing that I will miss with the new logo will be the Randy Newman song that
played in almost every Pixar movie.

The Star Swordsman - Yeah, I’ll miss that song, as well.
But I have to admit, I
really love the song they use in the new Disney logo.

Hold up. They have a new song for it as well? Oh man, I
love/d that song. =(
I will have to see what I think of the new song/logo when I see Ratatouille.
Rachel: It isn’t really a new song. The song played
during the Disney logo is the song “When you wish Upon a Star”.

Sorry, I meant the Disney-Pixar Disney logo. Is that too,
going to change with Ratatouille? I guess not, now that I think about it, since the blue Disney logo was attached
to the Ratatouille ads…
I’ll just wait and see.
Hmm, well, seems to me the new “Walt Disney Pictures” one should be used for
live-action films. I don’t know, I guess just the amount of detail it has makes you feel like a
live-action.
As a side note, I believe the new logo was made by WETA digital, the company behind the
effects in LOTR. So, kinda interestin’!
