Official Teaser/Trailer Discussion

I kinda like that theory cause it makes Lotso not entirely evil. He would just be thinking that he’s keeping himself from being damaged at the other toy’s expense when all he’s meant for is hugging, so that’s where Buzz would come in (since he’s pretty much the coolest toy ever) and why they would want to keep Andy’s toys from leaving. But then there’s still the thing with Buzz being seemingly turned evil and how that fits in.

Also, why wouldn’t Lotso simply like Woody does? Undoubtedly he is a pretty hefty bear but if he really wanted to he could find a way to preserve himself without sacrificing all of the other toys.

I addressed that too in my long post, I think someone in his gang (maybe Ken, or someone more evil than Lotso) reprograms him in a desparate attempt to make the plan work. it may even be that this is done behind lotso’s back. Ken has a motive since hes trying to prove himself to others.

I was suspecting that a bit too. After checking back on your post, you kind of had a pretty good idea of how it’s going to turn out.

One point. In the Spanish Dubt, Buzz Still speaking Spanish when he is reset.
But it´s not an standar spanish, He had a very complicate accent to undertans for most of spaniards with unnusual words… and accent, just like a country bumpkin. It´s hard to fit it because it´s the only reasonable way to keep sense with the flamenco stuff

He seems more flamenco and andalusian than the standard spanish people, by the way, most of spaniards don´t know hoy to dance flamenco and don´t like Bulls fighting… lol

(hope you understand me, i´m just learning english…)

I assume that he get’s fixed every now and then by the other toys, [spoil]as shown in the trailer.[/spoil]

What’s this? (It can be seen for a couple of frames when Woody jumps off the roof with the glider.)

Uhh, you tell us…I mean why is it worth pointing out?

The African girl with the “Mickey Mouse” hair style in Up also appears in the Toy Story 3 trailer. The style of the character design is slightly less cartoony but the dress is the same and the overall appearance is the same. I grab a screenshot to show you the comparison.

I wonder if this is Pixar’s nod to Disney’s recent animated film The Princess and the Frog which also features an African girl as the lead.

And all the white kids are references to all the white prince and princesses. Nah, they’re probably just saving time and reusing models.

It looks pretty unusual. I think it could be Lotso or something, chasing after Woody, but it’s unclear how he got there then.

it makes me sad that Lotso’s a bad guy. I think he could’ve of made a really good good guy

That girl must be stalking Lotso.

Maybe he’ll redeem himself in the end. Has that ever even happened in a Pixar movie for a villain, besides Ego? I think it would be good if at least a few of the daycare toys became heroes at the end.

Well, for what its worth, when Lee was asked once if he was the villian in this movie, Lee responded with “ehh, I don’t really see it that way-” then was cut off by someone he was with. it could very well be that he’s good, his heart’s in the right place, but still puts road blocks in Andy’s toys’ way.

But thats whats so great about lotso he dont look bad but he’s the bad guy brilliant on pixar’s part there.

Well yeah, but we’ve done that already with the prospector. and back then it was a total surprise. that wouldnt be the case this time around. 1, because people are probably expecting them to pull that same trick again, and 2, the Internet kinda spoils that for many. actually even the merchandising seems to be doing that. I don’t think that happened with the prospector did it?

No it didn’t but I was just saying he don’t look bad but your already know he is.

Why would you care about some bear? All I care about are the main toys.

I think I may have found Trixie (one of the new characters) in the trailer.
[spoil]She’s at the part where Woody is on the computer and you see Totoro. She’s the one with the purple hair.[/spoil]
