Yeah, I’m pretty sure that the triceratops is Trixie. Especially since it was confirmed that Kristen Schaal was going to play Trixie. I wonder what the name of the doll is going to be.
because he’s like a fatherly character, at least I think in the trailer. I think it would be cool if the toys made a new ally. Anywho, I was thinking that the triceratops was Trixie also!
ahh! Woopi’s the octopus!?! xD Why didn’t I notice that earlier! I LOVE her voice
and she’s also a bad guy!?! no! gosh Pixar why must you do this to me!
At first I thought the octopus was male, but it took me a few more watches to realize that it was Whoopi Goldberg’s voice (her voice is usually unmistakable, but all she says in the trailer is “Oh, please!” so I couldn’t tell right away). I probably remembered her voice best from The Pagemaster, which was one of the many old animated films from my childhood.
Just a quick realization- one of the last scenes, when Woody almost falls, but is caught by his string, that’s him trying to get out of the daycare, not Andy’s house like I would’ve guessed. You can tell from the wall with stickers behind him, is the same thing you see in the beginning when the van drives pass the Daycare sign (which has been changed to “and Wall E”) I just thought that was interesting. Also, anyone have ideas as to what the deal is with the toys being in animal cages?
Well, given that they’re sort of trapped in a nightmarish daycare I think that when the toys are kept in storage bins overnight it feels to them like being in prison.
As for the clips of Woody falling, part of it might be from when his friends get thrown out cause he has a pair of scissors with him which I think are for cutting open the trash bag.
I don’t think they’re being kept there, I’m guessing they’re imprisoned. They’re all separated, judging by Mr. Potato head’s description with the lincoln logs the things they’re in are animal cages, I’m just wondering why the bad guys are bad. Notice Buzz isn’t in any cages to be seen…he’s probably already evil.
On another note, did they give away the movie ending?? In the begining, after you here “What ARE you gonna do with these old toys?”, you see Andy standing over a box putting Rex and Buzz in it. Obviously, this is a different scene than the one where he pulls them out of the toy box, puts them in the bag, etc. Andy looks slightly older, has a different, more “adulty” shirt on. Notice that Woody’s not in the box. MOST importantly, notice the shelves behind him are empty, the posters have been stripped off the wall…my guess is that this is at the end when he gets the toys back, his room has already been cleaned out because he’s done lots of time in college by now, and he’s happy to have the toys back but decides to finish the job and put them in the attic, except for Woody. Or, perhaps he’s packing them away for his kids, and he’s holding back Woody to preserve him?" Or at least his future kids, he doesn’t seem that old. Where in the movie might this scene fit in otherwise?
