Awe PV, you beat me in posting that! I definitely think this logo is one of their cooler ones.
I had taped some Olympics from last night and finally got around to watching them today. It was an awesome moment for Canada when [spoil]the men’s 8 got a gold for Rowing! It was exciting to watch too… [/spoil]
[spoil]The women’s gymnastics tonight. Wow. I guess it was a fair ruling, but still sort of skewed. I can’t help but applaud Liukin’s sense of sportsmanship. Lesser folk would have risen a stink. [/spoil]
Yeah, yeah, that’s what you keep telling yourself.
We usually end up finishing in the top 5, so if that happened again I’d be content. At the end of the Olympics I’m going to rearrange the medal tally according to population per country, because of course China and the US is going to have more athletes, just look at the size of their population!
Last night, I saw gymnastics and [spoil]I was really ticked off that Nastia Liuken tied with the leader but got second place. I thought her routine was more better than the Chinese girl (who looks like a thirteen year old). Oh well, more controversy for ya.[/spoil]
Well, it’s always the way that the host country does well. Look at Greece- when they held the Olympics, they came a respectable 15th. Now, they’re 54th. Of course, that could be down to other factors, but that is a pretty big difference.
My money is on the horse. This is a really cute picture. I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or say “awwww” when I first saw the google banner this morning.
I thought it was pretty sad that these Olympics were coming to an end. But what a ceremony to finish it with! The choreography was astounding. I can’t even begin to imagine the sort of organisation needed to do something like that. And those light-up wheel bike things were so cool!
I can’t wait to see it. I think it comes on tonight for me. Well, I hope it doesnt disappoint.
I love the Olympic games. I was satisfied with this years games. This might be asking a little too much, but I hope the SUmmer Olympics can show every two years instead of every four.
