Other ideas/thing you would have liked to see in Toy Story 3

No, I heard it too SadStrangeLittleMan!

Yes, I will go Sailing no More appears in track 13, The Dump, at 00:58. It’s just in the television scene.

Yeah, same here.

Honestly, I was a bit surprised that there was only one mention of Bo Peep. I mean, she wasn’t exactly a major character (she didn’t go on any adventures or anything), but come on, she was Woody’s girlfriend! I was honestly expecting her to show up in the movie somewhere… but I’m just a stickler for romance  And as far as that goes, Buzz and Jessie more than made up for it <3
And I agree, there is not as much humor, it’s way more emotional (I was bawling in the theater), but some of the jokes were way funnier than usual.

Was anyone else expecting them to incorporate the home video montage into the plot more? instead of being like in UP where they show it to you then jumpcut to another location entirely?

I was kinda expecting to see someone actually watching this home video, like Andy’s mom or something. maybe that would be too sentimental or something but I think it would have been nice to have been linked more to the plot, rather than being separate from the film.

Also, I wonder why it wasn’t in 4:3 aspect ratio like it was in the trailer. kinda ruins the illusion of being a VHS home video from the 90s. Widescreen video cameras for consumers were practically unheard of, probably prohibitively expensive if they existed. unless we are to assume Andy’s mom ( or father or whoever) was a film student or film maker and have a decent camera. heh

Yeah. I was a little surprised by the way it wasn’t being watched or anytihng, but I love the first shot of teenage Andy from the view of the toybox, I think that really strikes as a sign of how time has changed and a surprise to anyone who hasn’t seen him before. And I’m pretty sure they kept the 4:3 thing…

I don’t know if this is what you meant, but I think the Buzz Lightyear cartoon deleted scene is like that. The final battle is directly referenced in the end when Andy’s Buzz comes full-circle. The only problem there is that it gets a bit predictable, and the opening sequence was already referencing scenes from the first two movies.

A m I would have liked:
Big Baby was gone with Woody and others.
Another Final For Lotso, I keep saying that he would have to be burned or the other end had much luck I thought when I left the cinema to see the movie that I think in the short two cars before maybe lotso who escaped knows.

Monsters Inc. and Toy Story 3 of the best that Pixar has done.

Saw it twice in theaters and the bootleg copy, they didnt.

I’m looking at a newer bootleg right now. It’s 4:3. It just looked 16:9 in the first bootleg due to horrible framing.

I saw the film for the sixth time just earlier this week. The home movie montage retains the 4:3 aspect ratio of the trailers.

Bryko614, where can I find this newer bootleg copy. Does it have the credits?

I’m pretty sure this is not the site to discuss that sort of thing…

Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeah really…

Sorry. Nevermind then.

Ok, looks like I was wrong. I’m glad to be in this case though.

Some thinks I would love to see:

  • Bo Peep inside the playtime adventure.

  • Some of the mutan toy in the garbage dump .

  • The prospector been donated an also see if he had changed his mind.

  • See how the lost some of their friends like RC etc…

  • And a crazy Idea, Bo Peep not being donate. She could see what happened an for the first time she decides to leave the house in order to save the gang, thats crazy for a porcelain doll but that emphasize the feeling of lonely, the sadnes and the importance of being together, the only character who was always worried about been ouside left the safety… well I wish she could have her heroic minute… she was a choral caracter but she was really nice and most of us will remember her after all… I hope to see her again.

Well, they [spoil]don’'t cry, but actually, when they’re going down, the fire makes a beautiful effect in the eyeballs of the characters (specially Woody) so they look wet and glittering, almost like crying. That’s one of the things that makes the scene so powerful, I think.[/spoil]

That’s actually a great idea. I’d think they’d either be happy to await their final fait, or be saved with the others.

Yeah, you don’t need actual tears when they do it the way they did.
