Outtakes

Funny that I’m making a post heh, but figured what the hey heh.

One thing I noticed is Pixar seems to be moving it’s “Outtakes” from the theatrical release. I wonder…would Ratatouille see any outtakes come it’s way for the theatrical release? If I recall, M.I. didn’t have them at first, but had them added on in theatrical releases later on.

So this topic can be two things. One…does anyone think Outtakes will make a theatrical appearence soon in Ratatouille?

And more interesting, two…what would those outtakes be? In short, make up your own heh.

I hope so! I bet Skinner’s actor is a really nice, gentle man.

I highly doubt that any outtakes of any kind would be added to the end of the film at a later date; it’s simply too majestic of a production to have any gags inserted into it at the end (at least, for me it is…).

However, if outtakes were to be added (to the DVD, perhaps), I would love to have one featuring Skinner in which his true “identity” is revealed. You see, my sister and I made up/attached this “sub-story” to the film in which Skinner is actually an escape monkey from a zoo. According to the plot, he accidentally got himself involved in this evil experiment that turned him into a human, albeit an evil one. Being a long-time fan of Gusteau’s restaurant, the now-turned-human monkey, Skinner, decides to take over the cafe’ and exact revenge on Linguini. In the end, however, he finally gets captured and taken back to his…“prison cell”.

Crazy, I know, but I would just love to see an outtake of some kind that limns that. :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL!!! Mitch! You must post all about this!!! This could very well be the next “Glory Days of Our Lives.”

To fill those of you out of the loop in - this is something that TonyLoaf and I came up with a LONG time ago on another forum. It was basically a Soap Opera surrounding The Incredibles - the backstory if you will - and we posted it on the forum so other members could add to it. KE, vim, and other old members like Elastigirl, lemonjelly, and goldfish all helped it to grow. I think AJ may have even had a hand in it. PV wasn’t involved 'cause I didn’t even know her yet - shows you just how long ago it was. But by the end we had every character related to each other, Syndrome was Mr. I’s father, everyone had a twin and that’s just the sane stuff. Don’t even get me started on Mrs. Pine-Kropp-Hogenson-Huff-Walker. LOL We even had a family tree explaning it all and the great irony is that everything actually made sense - even filled in some gaps - and all without disturbiung cannon! Ahh - those were… well… the Glory Days!

Puh-HA!! You guys are just as insane as my sister and I…

Haha! That’s some great stuff, Dash!! Seriously, the “geekiness” of that is…awesome! (snigger)

So, should I make a separate thread on the subject; something like, “Ratatouille: The Back Stories”? (I’m itching to write it, actually…) :stuck_out_tongue:

Go for it! And if you do it I will even revive the Glory Days of Our Lives over in The Incredibles forum. I found all my old stuff stashed away on my computer. =D

In fact - I even found away we can connect up the Ratatouille and Incredibles stuff later on…

Back stories Mitch?

Dash - Heheh – awesome! I shall go for it then.

Nexas - In short: What kind of backstories do the characters in Ratatouille really conceal? Was Colette actually betrothed to a Frenchman in her early years? Did Remy’s ingenious talent for cooking come naturally, or is it simply all a hoax? How did Linguini locate those fine underpants of his?

You’ll understand the “nonsensicalness” of this after I create a thread on the subject. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hah hah…quite interesting…

that would be awesome mitch!

Heheh. Well thanks, dudes! I’ll get to work on creating a thead on the subject in due time…

Would be interesting to see what stories pop up heh.

If there are going to be outtakes, Collete can taste the soup, call cut, then she goes outside to throw up.

There we go heh…
A fair add-on would be her in the bathroom, the audience hearing the throwing up, with Linguini outside being concerned heh heh.

Here is one.

WHile SKinner is trying to chase remy on his little bike, he can do sick tricks in the air, forcing them to cut the shot. BUt you doo get some laughs.

“See! See! ONLY a Monkey can be THAT good!” ^^ Sorry, I’m just half a comedian ^^:

My sister and I made up this out-take yesterday:

When Remy offers his pudgy companion, Emile, a scrumpteous-looking tidbit of cheese that he extracted from the food locker, Emile greedily snatches the delicious morsel and wolfs it down…only to find that it is extremely spicy (one of those jalepeno cheeses, ya’ know?). So as he’s running around the place, screaming in intense agony, Remy locates a small bucket of water and splashes it into his poor brother’s face, extinguishing the “flames”.

We think up crazy stuff like this all the time. It’s insane, I tell you, but we love doing it! It keeps us from getting bored.

Hey MItch, that is a really funny outtake Mitch. Poor Remy.

The Star Swordsman - Poor Emile, you mean.

Heheh. Thanks!

Ha ha…classic.
