Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

One thing that I am really intrested in for this movie is the non-stop sword fighting action. Almost every character in this one gets to pick up a sabre and slash away.

Swordsman – Yeah, same here. They’ve always had such neat moves in the first two; combined with fast-paced cinemetography. It’ll be neat!

And not to mention it is alliance of the two antagonists with a whole armada of pirates. This makes things even more intense.

I can’t wait for this, as it will tie up all the conflicts that arose in the second. And … Barbossa ish back.

I’ll be there opening weekend.

I’ll be curious to see who has the biggest opening weekend, Spider-man 3, Shrek the Third or Pirates: At world’s End.

I kinda have the feeeling this movie will win.

Oh believe me. According to my friends at school, the people around me, and my neighborhood, this is really the highest anticipated movie of al time so far. I strongly believe that it will do so much better than Spider-Man 3.

So many big name movies . . . and so many by Disney (with PIXAR helping, of course)!

But for AWE . . . man, it’ll be epic. To see the Pirate Lords face Davy Jones, the Royal Navy, AND the East India Trading Company at Worlds End . . . for the freedom of the seven seas?

It just doesn’t get cooler than that. :sunglasses:

Opening DAY for me. Nothing’s going to stop me!

And let’s not forget Tranformers!!!

Ratatioulle and Live Free or Die hard, will be block busters as well but I don’t think they will be

breaking opening weekend records.

Ratatouille might be listed in the top ten or maybe 5, but I doubt that it will surpass the intensity of

Pirates 3.

I saw this movie on Saturday and they played the

Ratatouille trailer!!! it was funny I had the lines for the trailer memorized

I was disappointed

they did not show a trailer for Transformers.

Yeah, i saw Pirates, too. I whispered the entire trailer to myself. hehehe

I liked the

movie, except the ending. Something about me didn’t like it…

I saw it Friday and man, was it worth the wait. Sure,

the 3 hours were long, but I was glued to my seat for the entire time.

I’ve yet to see it- I’ve heard lots of bad things but my brother liked it so I probably will

too. I’ll hopefully see it tomorrow.

I saw it on Friday with my friends and nearly jumped out of my seat when they showed the

Ratatouille trailer.

The movie was excellent! Not as good as the first one, but still good.

[spoil]Was anyone else totally wierded out by that part when Tia Dalma became

Calypso?[/spoil]

Ya I thought the ending could have been better.

but I think there are going to be more POTC movies so the story may continue… ???

I can’t believe all of the negative reviews I’ve been hearing.

For example, my

brother said it was cheesy and that he walked away from the movie wondering what the heck had just happened.

He was also disappointed in the lack of Jack.

~~=oP

Ok: I thought it was a fantastically fun and enjoyable

film. Seen it twice already.

Only criticisms are…

[spoil]Nothing really happened

with Calypso. She created a maelstrom and made herself into a million crabs and jumped into the sea. Could have

been more significance to her role.

And I would have loved to have found out more about the Brethren and

where they came from.[/spoil]

However I loved…

[spoil]The part where Cutler

Beckett is walking down the stairs as the Endeavour explodes behind him. Brilliant scene. Oh and the Endeavour in

history was the name of 9 Royal Navy ships but most famously that of the HMS Bark Endeavour that Capt. Cook

sailed.[/spoil]

I’m neither a lover or hater of the POTC films, so I figured that I’d go into

this one without a bias. It had some highlights, definitely, but there were some pretty poor things that

should’ve been improved on.

So, the good stuff-
[spoil]Jack was funny as ever, and the

parts where there’s multiple Jacks are the most hilarious parts of the film.
Acting from some of the main

characters, such as Bill Nighy, was very good.
Special effects were

incredible.

[/spoil]

But there was a lot of things that brought the film down,

too-
[spoil]It was way, way too long.
Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly were so bad that it was

impossible to ignore their terrible acting.
The story was over complicated and difficult to

understand.
Overall, the film dragged.[/spoil]

All together, I’m giving it a 6.5 out of 10.

It’s the worst in the series by far, but it’s still an enjoyable experience, especially for fans of the

franchise.

Ahh!! They did? I’m gonna go see

it… :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, I’ve heard rather “flip-flopped” biased opinions on the thing. Most of the

critics gave it 'B’s and 'A’s, leveraging out the total vote/rating to a ‘C+’. The viewers gave it a

‘B+’.

I’m definitely going to see this film, since I finally got around

to watching the second one and absolutely loved it (what are the odds of that?!).

I’m mainly just going to see the film for the special effects. Too bad there’s mush in it, but I’ll just close

my eyes during those parts. (snigger)

Puh-ha!

I did the same thing when they showed it along with Meet the Robinsons and

Shrek the Third:laughing:

Oka, here is my review. It

was long, and kinda confusing, but I was a little happy. What is keeping me from hating it so much is the action

scenes. The begining and ending fights were an absolute classic.
