Pixar Animation Studios - Role Playing Game

Location: Her Office

Occupation: Animator

Currently Working On: Toy Story 3

Action: After 6 straight hours in front of the computer screen, Hannahmation decides it is time to take a break and walk away from the computer. She heads to the cereal wall and pours a bowl of Frosted Flakes. Walking through the halls, she passes L&D who just walked into her office. Hannahmation decides to make it a longer break and stops in to talk.

“Hi L&D! How are things going with Cars 2?”

Location: Her office

Occupation: Writer

Current Project: Cars 2

Action: L&D is taken aback for a second, not thinking anyone was gonna come in and say hello. “Oh! Hello there, Hannahmation! Things are going pretty good with the movie so far. We’re basically planning out the basic plot right now, then we’ll get more into the actual dialouge and details. I’m thinking up of ideas for a great first scene that will have the audience hooked! So, how are things going with Toy Story 3?”

Location: A very disorganized office filled with toys, video game cases, movie DVD cases, and other miscellaneous items that don’t belong in a formal office

Occupation: Writer

Currently Working On: The Incredibles 2… or trying to

Action: Sitting with much unease in his uncomfortable seating, Flare had barely touched his draft of the script, which had not even reached a 10% completion. Obviously, even the minimal stress of working on such a huge title proved too much for this procrastinator. While breathing heavily, he fidgeted around his chair, trying to ease himself of the pressure, doing everything else except for working on the script.

Location: With Dragon

Occupation: Performer (Actor/Singer)

Action: Talking with Dragon. “Having writers block huh?”

Location: Still in the messy office… with The Star Swordsman this time

Occupation: Stressed Writer

Action: Jumps up in surprise due to The Star Swordsman’s sudden appearance, then quickly maneuver himself into a position that makes it look like he is actually working on something.

“Erm…”

With his back facing The Swordsman, he scratches his head.

“…yep. That’s about it. It’s… er… coming together quite… nicely.”

He then spins around with an innocent grin across his face.

“Coffee?”

Action: (sniggers) Thanks but no thanks. Anyways, you don’t need to worry about me supervising you. I’m not your boss. I just want to know if you need any help.

Action:
“Right, right.” (giggles) “I just have trouble concentrating and coming up with the next few parts of the script. Ugh, it is such a major project. It would be bad - no - apocalyptic if I screw it up. You know what happens with bad movie sequels. It is not like we need another cinematic crap.”

Action: (nodding) I know what you mean. Well, no need for a rush. Pixar has got a couple of films in line for production beofre they get their hands on this. So lets work this baby nice and slow so when Pixar is ready to push it, it will be the best sequel in the world.

Action:
(shakes head in disagreement) “Uh uh, not the best sequel in the world…”

(grins) “…but the best movie in the history of platinum quality films, regardless of its animated format.”

With that, Flare quickly returns to his seating. Though a completed draft from him would not happen… for the next few months, in the end, it should sprout as a beautiful piece of contribution that would surely render The Incredibles 2 - no - render the Pixar staff as the godly defenders of good movies everywhere; on Earth, across the stars, and beyond the universe!

Location: L&D’s office

Occupation: Animator

Current Project: Toy Story 3

Action: “I’m sure you’ll come up with something fantastic! Cars 2 is in good hands! Things are going pretty well with TS3. I’ve been working on a scene between Woody and Jesse. The dialogue is really touching. I just finished blocking the poses. Now have to have the supervising animator review what I have. Hopefully he likes it! I should probably go meet with him now. It’s been nice chatting! Good luck with all your ideas!”

Hannahmation exits L&D’s office and makes her way to the supervising animator’s office.

Location: My office

Occupation: Writer

Current Project: Cars 2

Action: L&D watched as Hannahmation left her office. Once she was gone, L&D said to herself, “Now wasn’t that a pleasant surprise! Well, I better get back to working on the sequel!” She sat down in her spinny chair, and tapped her pencil against the desk, listening to her iPod, hoping inspiration would come.

Location: Disney Board Room

Occupation: CEO (of Disney)

Current Project: Tasteful Merchindising

Action: “Those Pixar people get so invoved with their work. I guess I’ll have to find them myself. Lassiter, take over from here, will you?”

Rac_Rules stands up, nods to the room, and leaves. Walking to the Pixar Studios down the road, she opens up her list.

“Cars 2 and The Incredibles 2.” She mumbles to herself. “Cars is the bigger merchindise one. We’ll have to discuss that more. Cars 2 it is.”

Walking into L&D’s office, she sits on a chair near her desk.

“Sorry to innterrupt you, L&D, but we need to talk about the merchindising for your movie. We need to make a profit, as is obvious-this company can’t run without money-but really shouldn’t go overboard. Any ideas?”

Location: Outside L&D’s office

Occupation: Writer - and occasionally, movie critic

Action: Flare eavesdropped on the convo. It was not a pleasant one at that, especially after learning that the desire of profit and cash was involved with a Pixar sequel.

‘My my,’ he thought to himself while leaning against the door, ‘isn’t that a little distasteful?’

Location: My office

Occupation: Writer

Current Project: Cars 2

Action: L&D was completely shocked by this. “Me? Help with the merchandising? Um. . . I guess I’ll try something. I know the die-cast figures are popular. Trust me on this, I should know. I own a couple. We should make ones of the new international characters. But in my opinion, don’t do anything like how they made those millions of Lightning McQueen’s. That was ridiculous! I mean, who wants Lightning with bug teeth! Not me! So unless it’s like the ones in which their paintjob completely changes, don’t make more than one of the characters. Any other suggestions? I’m having merchandisers block.”

Location: Pixar Lobby.

Occupation; Guest.

Action: A young girl about 16 years old, her brown eyes widening behind rectangle glasses, stepped through the doors. ‘Oh my gosh! I can’t believe it! I’m actually here!’ she thought.

She took a step further. Then another. With each step came more confidence, and more belief! Yes! It wasn’t a dream! She actually WAS here! In one of the greatest film studios in the world!

So much to see and do!

Now… where to begin?

(OOC: Yay! my first Roleplay EVER! I feel great!)

Occupation: Writer

Current Project: Monsters Inc 2 (I hope you don’t mind I changed XD)

Woody walked down the hall, begging for inspiration. As he walked by the offices, he saw the CEO of Disney in L&D’s office. Being a little suspicious, he peers through the glass walls.

Action: HNT leaves the garden, folding away his sketches, he crosses the patio into the Luxo Café and then enters the lobby, he gives a brief wave to a number of guests looking around and continues striding across the open space, before disappearing down a corridor, thinking: ‘It’s good to see some guests being let in, we always seem to act so secretive, oh well, I’m sure the management know what they’re doing.’

Location: L&D’s office

Occupation: CEO

Current Project: Merchindise CONTROL

Action:

“Yeah, how many die-casts did Disney have for the last one? A thousand? Way too many. Though we do need to make sure we make a profit to run this place, it should not be too- pun not intended- plastic.”

Hearing a bump outside the door, Rac_Rules opens the door, revealing Dragon eavesdropping. She sees the expresstion on his face.

“You got something to say?” She says, smirking. “Because absolutly no publicity can be involved in this? Merchindising is an important part of movie making, sir. It’s how we make half the profit that the company you work for uses to keep running. The important part is not to NOT make any merchindise, but instead to simply not go overboard.”

She walks back over to L&D’s desk, leaning on it with one arm.

“Even Walt Disney couldn’t of gotten along without Roy helping with merchindizing. Now, why don’t you help us instead of just standing there.”

Location: L&D’s opened office

Occupation: Writer - and currently, judge of Mr Rac’s actions

Current Project: Rac’s decisions in merchandising

Action:
‘Aye,’ Flare thought to himself, ‘wasn’t it true that upon Roy’s management, Disney had taken a huge decline in quality of filmmaking?’

He smiled to himself in pride, yet he worries about how the attitude the staff of Disney have become.

“The point, after all, is that your heart’s main desire is still placed upon the greens, not in the hopes of creating a great movie. Sigh… what have the staff at Disney been reduced to…”

With that final murmur, Flare steps away from the office, hoping for the best for the sequel, hoping that no apocalypse will befallen on Pixar.

occupation: writer

current project: Monsters Inc 2

seeing the action outside the office, woody quickly hid from the Ceo’s sight. He caught up to Dragon. "seems like we need to keep the Disney spirit alive, eh?
