Pixar Directors -- Who's Your Favorite?

I chose Pete Doctor. At first, it was a tie between John and him. Although I really do like Stanton’s and Bird’s films.

I like John Lasseter a lot, but I’m going to have to go with Brad Bird as my favorite Pixar director (and also because The Iron Giant rules). Monsters, Inc. is my favorite Pixar movie at the moment, but I’ll have to wait for Up to have a better opinion of Docter. As for Andrew Stanton, his directorial work on Wall-E was incredible.

John Lasseter and Brad Bird tied.

Well, it’s pretty obvious who’s my favourite  John Lasseter rules!!
But Pete Docter comes a VERY close second- Monsters, Inc was an early childhood favourite, and Up is very emotional and moving. Also he seems like the type of person I could really get along with. ;-p

Andrew, Brad and Lee Unkrich all come joint third- but they are EQUALLY AMAZING!
I like Brad’s way of pushing people to their limits to achieve perfection- Incredibles and Ratatouille are faultless!
Andrew seems down-to-earth (no pun intended) and pretty cool. I love the way he can tell emotional stories just through action and sounds. And the colours used in Nemo were beautiful!
As for Lee, I can’t really judge yet as I haven’t seen TS3, but without a doubt he’s amazing as he’s been behind a lot of Pixar’s films, and he’s part of the Brain Trust (ALL members of that are Gods!)

And for the road, all the short film directors are great and I love their talents and optimism. I cannot wait to see Day & Night, Teddy Newton!

I like Andrew Stanton, then Pete Docter, then John Lasseter, and then Brad Bird.

  1. Brad Bird/John Lasseter
    2.Pete Docter
  2. Andrew Stanton.

Where will Lee place?? Answer coming in 24 days…

Andrew Stanton! He’s a great storyteller. I love Finding Nemo and WALL-E as movies, but I also love how they’re told. From a direction standpoing, they’re just amazing.

My favorite is John Lasseter.

It’s a tough question, but I chose Pete Docter.

Seeing as I greatly enjoyed and loved both Finding Nemo and Wall-E, I’d have to say Andrew Stanton. He directed two of my most favorite Pixar films, plus he seems like such a cool guy! I’d really love to be able to meet him some day. <3

I chose Lasseter, but I wish I could go back and edit my vote! Pete Docter always seemed like an awesome dude on the Special Features I used to watch over and over when I was a kid. Not to mention he directed Up, which is my personal favorite film. He just seems like a really, really nice guy.

Peter Docter For monsters inc is my favorite Disney Pixar movie.
After Finding Nemo with Andrew Stanton And Wall-e.

I chose John Lasseter because it’s so incredible how helped to build Pixar. I was very amazed when I saw John even slept in the beginnings of Pixar at the studio! I like him too because he was the very first director of Pixar and probably he will in the future have given all his experience to a very large group of new animators!

That’s a good point, Wouter. Can I just call you that? I remember it better.

What do you mean with ‘I remember it better’?

Wouter

I remember Wouter than your username. I feel bad for Pete being in last place…I love them all(their movies and their personalities), and it’s sad to see Pete so far behind. Up was a very special movie, and it deserves some recognition!!!

oh yes I see
And yeah you’re right, Up was a very special movie but if you have tot choose between those 4 people it’s very difficult and I picked only the person I admire the most .

Yeah, I picked Brad just b/c I knew I had to choose between him and John, so I decided Bead b/c John had more votes so far.

That’s good news :stuck_out_tongue: : If everyone thinks like that this poll is how it has to be: everyone equall points

Wouter

I’d say Brad Bird
