Hey, there! I am sorry to say that they have already made their decisions for the PUP program–I got contacted for an interview at the end of march, had the interview over the phone first week in April and found out mid-April that I didn’t get it–soooooo close though… =/
AND I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT WAITING! Pixar is the only company that has gotten back to me–I have applied to Sony, Disney, and Blue Sky, and still have heard nothing–If ANYONE hears ANYTHING about the other companies, please share on here, too, as I have combed through as many forums as possible looking for people posting about the other companies’ statuses and such and have found nothing…
I have heard from Sony… They sent me a disguising email… patronising and intentionally misleading … And I though HR was supposed to be the nicest department. :S But nothing from others yet
Ahhh okay thank you very much!!! That clears a lot up, except a rejection letter would be nice for closure! >.< Good luck to everyone if you’ve applied elsewhere, the wait still continues!
Still waiting to hear back from Disney, Blue Sky, and Laika. I never really got my hopes up for Pixar. They’re a fortress when it comes to getting work there. Also, I’ve had teachers that pretty much spell out the odds of getting into that place, hah! Hopefully, I’ll beat the odds some day though.
Companies tend to not say anything to people they haven’t interviewed. If you’re still in school, consider yourself lucky because you have another shot next year. And I’m guessing you are since you applied to PUP.
I applied for the Marketing and Publicist positions. I got a rejection letter for the publicist position, but not for the Marketing position. I’m not sure if I should be hopeful, or assume that the second rejection letter is coming.
This wait is unbelievable!! or should I say unbearable! I haven’t heard anything from Disney yet either and I also heard that the people who were excepted into the summer intern programs at Disney were students who applied for the admin and research jobs and not the artistic internships…Pheewwwww!!! lol I also read elsewhere that Disney only start interviewing very late, so how will that effect international students? It doesn’t make any sense!! I don’t even have a status bar on my profile for Disney. Is that normal?
