just wondered…did Pixar send you an email saying no or did you go through the interview first. Do you mind me asking why you applied for the Story XD instead of animation?
I’ve applied for the animation Internship this year but still haven’t received any response. I’m international too but the wierd thing is I got a missed call from a San Francisco C.A number yesterday around my 7pm which is your 11 am. unfortunately I missed the call 
No messages were left either…when I called the number back an automated woman said that the number was incorrect. Strange!!
Hhaha yeh! listen to a bit of Mraz to cheer yourself up, alternatively you could listen to coldplay, which will do the opposite.
i applied for the art internship. I believe the deadline this year was April 6th (as opposed to the deadline last year April 4th).
And another week passes as we freak out just a little bit more. Oh man, I hope they let us know next week latest. Jobs are asking for hours for this summer!
@amiracle: I applied for the art internship as well. I come from an art theory college and I’m very nervous about my application since I have no prior animation/technical training. Would you mind swapping websites? I’d love to see other work!
@Ddar: I don’t think that every internship gets an interview. From what it sounds like, we get a call for a yes and an email for a no. At least we get emailed?
Just got of the phone with Pixar. Operator said that all e-mails >should< go/be out today.

What do u mean by all emails. Did they say they were sending emails about interviewing people or are they just sending yes and no emails. Also was this only referring to the research internship? Goodluck and thanks for the info.
Thanks roar25 =D, and I just got a no through e-mail last year no interview unfortunately. oh cool You’re international? where’re you from? I applied to story this year because I kind of fell in love with it during a story boarding class last year haha. I still love animation but there something in story boarding that speaks to me too you know? Like the guys said before, I think Pixar would have left you a message so I wouldn’t freak out thinking you missed your chance. ouu and I typoed on the date (oops) I got my e-mail on the 11th so that would fit with sander_hurks info so cool beans! =D
haha I think I’ll hold off on the coldplay then until after internship season XD
Well, I haven’t gotten anything yet and since Pixar supposedly closes at 6p.m. there’s only about an hour left for something to come. Anyone gotten any word at all?
It’s really late In the game to leave us with no word at all…
She sounded like she meant yes/no emails. Since I did not specify which internship I applied to, it must be universal for all internships.
I’ll send them an email, asking if we should expect a response for rejection, and post the answer here.

I’m new to Pixar Planet and I ran across your forum. I just recently went back to school online at Animation Mentor.com. I’m hoping that I’ll be qualified for a Pixar job or internship once I’m done next year. I have a question for you: Does anyone know how long an internship at Pixar lasts. I looked at the FAQ’s on Pixar’s website, and I didn’t see anything… I’m thinking it’s like 4 months or something?

I believe they are 12 weeks long.
It’s normally June to August. One year if you’re applying for a Resident position.
Still waiting to hear from art internship as well. For now only one email from Laika, that they “will be deciding soon”…

I found out about at least one animation person that has heard back and got accepted into the Pixar Family. Haven’t heard about anything else yet though. I have a buddy that applied for story and he has yet to hear back. I, myself, applied for the art internship and have heard nothing. I don’t know if they do all their acceptance calls and emails on the same day, but I think the animator who got in heard back on Friday last week. I haven’t heard anything about rejection letters yet, but today is the beginning of week six so I’m sure everyone will hear back soon. I’ve got my fingers crossed for all of us, and I hope there’s still a chance of getting in. So hang in there fellow lovers of animation and film

Yeah, sounds like all the rejection letter went out yesterday then. I got the email saying I didnt get in either…Wish everyone the best of luck and Congrats to the peeps that got in! Just Disney Left to reply now
Is that for the Art Internship or the Animation internship too? When was the Animation deadline anyway? Wasn’t it sooner than the art one?
Anyways, I still haven’t gotten any word yet. I’m slightly annoyed since I wanted to sign up for the Schoolism oil painting class that started today, but have been waiting to hear back from the internships before dropping the $1000… Oh well, there’s always the creature design class if they answer by the end of the week…
