They should misspell it as “Top Dug” award this year.
Your school is “totally wicked”, mo!

I found Cars and Finding Nemo fruit snacks at the grocery store. I picked up the Nemo kind and am currently eating Bruce. Mmmm, tasty. Wait, fish are friends. Not food. Oops.
Haha, nice one Hannah, I’ve seen those as well.
I saw Cars and Finding Nemo baby wipes at Wal-Mart last night while getting my shirt (more on that in a different thread ) Kind of disturbing, actually
May I transfer to your school?
In everyday life, I see little kids every now and then with Cars shirts on. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but hey.
Not really. I saw TV ads for Cars-themed Huggies nappies. Imagine taking a crapper in a diaper with Lightning McQueen on the front.
I was working at school a few hours ago when someone actually whistled the ‘Married Life’ from Up! Too bad it was someone I didn’t really like, so I couldn’t answer him with an “I know that tune!”
And I was cramming for a Marketing assignment the night before and I came across this paragraph in one of my textbooks:
“McDonald’s also routinely promotes Disney movies through Happy Meal premiums tied to films such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc and Bee Movie.”
Besides the fact that the first five films they mentioned were Pixar’s (That happened to be distributed by Disney back then), they included a Dreamworks film as the last example!
Instant Fail!
Rachel: Wow! That cake is look so beautiful…and tasty! But I won’t eat Remy. “Rats are friend, not enemy”
TDIT: That sounds cool! Too bad it’s come from the person you do not like. Too bad. And I still wondered why Happy Meal stopped Pixar merch toys. I wish they’re back with Toy Story 3, I really want Rex!
I saw Cars (again) balloons at a gift shop.
My Math textbook has a problem about downloading a Finding Nemo trailer online. Kind of weird. Other than that, I can’t think of anything else.
In my book, Alphas, there’s two Pixar references: Finding Nemo and Wall-E. Wall-E shows up again in my book P.S. I Loathe You. The funny thing, they are both by the same author.
Also, not that long ago in English class, some boys were talking about how one wants to see the TS Double Feature, and that it’s showing at our theater in 2D (which makes no sense to me why they’d show it if there’s no 3D!) I was shocked though that someone wanted to see the double feature, and that there was talk about Pixar going on. That’s a rarity at my school.
Rachel: “This is delicious!” “This is… caketown!”
Wowee, I can’t believe I’m seeing a Pixar-themed cake of that size. Count yourself lucky! And I believe the sign next to it declares it a “Third Prize”, which is quite an achievement for the fandom!
Is that your reflection in the window?
wannabechef: Yeah, I’m disappointed. The last one I remembered they did was for Cars. Now it’s Shrek The Third and Ice Age 3 from rival studios…
L&D: Your book meaning textbooks? Or storybooks? Or fanfictions you wrote? Sorry, just a little confused there.
Duh. Not everyone gets those books. XD They’re novels by Lisi Harrison. They’re kinda more for girls anyways. Trust me on this one.
Just to add to my own topic, here’s some more sightings:
In this instance, we went to Target and where looking for some School supplies. We pass by the transportation isle and I spotted a few very familiar faces on the racks:
The second one was spotted when I went to Costco. I was looking at the prices for Blu-Ray players and came across a display that uses familiar faces to advertise the entertainment system:
L&D: Wow, for an author to use actual trademarked movie titles in her book, much less Pixar ones, is pretty rare! Cool beans!
Mygames: Haha, imagine if I got one of em’ sweet rides and cycle to school… I was considering getting a bike to save on transport costs…
I like the taglines on the Blu-Ray display! “Floor it!”
Ugh, they’re rubbing it in that I don’t have the money for a blu-ray player for me to get the Cars blu-ray! XD
Hey, where’s Doc? I don’t see him on there.
TDIT: I did find that really cool! I was all, “A Pixar reference!!” But she always seems to use pop culture references in her stories. So it was only a matter of time until Pixar ones pop up.
thedriveintheatre - I don’t really get the “caketown” reference, but it made me laugh anyway. I think the cake-atouille did get third prize, you’re right. But we all know that it deserved the blue ribbon. There are two ladies on the other side of the glass case, looking at the cakes on their side, so I think that might be who are seeing. But you can see my camera in the reflection if you look closely, heheh.
Oh my gosh, Rachel, you haven’t seen Black20’s parody of 300? It’s like, the most famous mash-up on Youtube… its reputation with 8+ million views as of now is legendary… plus, it’s absolutely hilarious! HERE it is, have a watch…
L&D: Yeah, where’s the Fabulous Hudson Hornet? My word, having just watched Cars in HD on Free-To-Air, I’m really convinced I need to get a Blu-Ray player now… seriously the colour palettes in Cars are just breathtaking, especially the sunsets and the ‘open sky’ scenes… magnificent!
TDIT: I just gotta hope I can get a blu-ray player for Christmas. I’ll have to get the whole Pixar collection (so far) on blu-ray then, and not just Cars.
We have an old car dealership here on Route 66, and out in the front lot, they have an old, rusty tow truck. And guess what! They put eyes and two buck teeth on the front! So it really DOES look like Mater! It’s almost creepy, lol! Every time we’ve passed it I hold my breath and wait for it to hop over and tease me about my best friend (a guy who’s a LOT like Lightning).
Ka-chow!
Haha, that’s awesome, Sally Jonson.
I was watching the World Championships of Acrobatics or something like that, and one of the contestants had chosen to have Ratatouille’s main theme song as her background music. Good choice.
BRUSH YOUR TEEEETH! I love that video.
Anyways, I saw a display eerily (sp?) similar to the one Mygames19 found, except the one I saw was in Sears.
Okay, so I was sent down to the school nurse for the winter sports physicals, and I’m in there waiting, and through the window to her personal office where her desk is and everything, there is a picture of Mr. Incredible on her wall. There was a speech bubble that said something, but I couldn’t tell what it was. The words were too small, and it looked like it was written in pencil or something because of the lighter grey color. I thought to myself, “Why would the nurse have a picture of Mr. Incredible?” Then I realized, who cares! It’s just neat that something Pixar related is in the school!
Heck, this reminds me of last year. My Geography teacher had a picture from an Incredibles coloring book hanging by his desk (the scene when Bob and Frozone are in the burning building) colored by what must have been one of his little boys. But it was hard to tell what it was unless I went up to his desk, for of course, little ones colored it. That means the colors were everywhere!
