Pixar Sightings In Everyday Life

That’s sooo cool!
Today I went to the dentist, I was able to catch the last 5 minutes of Up and 4 people were crying. And then Monsters Inc started, and some kids started arguing about Monsters Inc:
“What’s the name of the kid?”
“What kid?”
“The kid the giant blue furry thingy rescues”
“Oh, that kid. I think it’s Boo.”
“Will she be in the second movie?”
“I don’t know, I didn’t even know they were making a second movie.”
“Oh. Will the blue furry thing be in the second movie?”
“ARG. His name is Sulley, and I. Don’t. Know!”
It was pretty entertaining. But then I got called in and couldn’t hear the rest.

Yesterday I was at a Chinese buffet and there was light piano music tinkering over the speakers while everyone was eating. Suddenly, a piano version of “La Vie en rose” came on, and I couldn’t help myself but to think of Wall-E!

I’ve been in New York for the past few days with some friends for the 4th of July (just got back today!) Anyway, the whole time I was there, there was light blue Porsche 911 Carrera in the parking lot of the hotel! I totally did a double take when I saw it. I wanted to go like “OMG, it’s Sally!!!” but nobody around me had seen cars, so I didn’t want to come off as insane or anything. :stuck_out_tongue:

In Holland Toy Story 3 was on the Busstops…

They have them here in Rome too! However stupid teenagers are writing all sorts of harsh graffiti on them.

I’m doing volunteer work at a local hospital campus this summer. The way that they organize and classify rooms is first the buliding name, which is a letter, then the floor number, then the room number on that floor. Today I had to transport a gentleman in a wheelchair to the third room on the eleventh floor on the main building, which is the “A” building. Yep, that’s right, room A113! It was awesome, I wish I could’ve taken a picture!

haha! Thats pretty cool. I would totally geek out at that too.

In the fish house at the zoo there are a couple tanks with clownfish and regal tangs and others from Nemo. Those tanks always get a lot of attention. You can always tell when someone sees them cuz they’ll shout “Nemos!” or “Dorys!”

Haha! I see that all the time at pet stores and aquariums!

I saw (and promptly snatched before anyone else saw it) a Mr. Incredible Father’s Day card at Wal-Mart, which is freakishly remarkable because stores in our area don’t do The Incredibles.

Heck, not even Disney World did when I went down there in March. I saw a gift card and that was about it.

So the Father’s Day card made me geek out in public. I got a couple stares, but it was worth it.

**Well, WalMart was full to the brim with Toy Story 3 items of course

***Yesterday I saw Finding Nemo bubble kit at CVS Drugstore.

***Not exactly a sighting, but when I went hiking a whiles back up north with my family, we was hiking and a child in front of us saw a small creek and yelled “Momma, I think I see Nemo!”

My parents and I never did find out what Nemo was doing in a small creek in the California Redwood forests, vacationing maybe?

***I saw at least 3 Buzz Lightyear strollers at the local 4th of July parade.

Actually, the other day at a camp I’m going to, I heard a couple of counselors talking about Wall-E, each of them sounding confused. Being the Pixar fan that I am, I asked what they were talking about, and it turned out they had no idea why he was called Wall-E. So I promptly told them it was an acronym, and then went ahead and told them what it stood for too. Useful fandom!

I was on a bus returning from the city yesterday night and I saw a kid with his dad on the seat opposite me. The tyke had a bucket of popcorns with Woody and Buzz on it! I suspect it must be the Toy-Story themed candy bar set that was sold at the George St. cinema, and he must have watched TS3 with his dad! He fell asleep clutching the bucket when I disembarked.

And the coolest thing was his dad was using an iPad! APPLE+PIXAR=COOL Talk about serendipity!
