Pixar summer internship 2013

I’m keeping everyone in my thoughts… Seriously everyone get home safe and hope you all are fine. Thanks sirluton.

I applied for the animation internship but I haven’t heard anything and it has not been updated. So not yet I guess!

Nope, no update yet for me either. Any idea of how many people applied? I would love to see your demo reel!

Guess Im the only one that had an update and hasn’t heard anything XD I feel special!

I’m in the same boat. Since March 28th… :frowning:

Quick reminder to keep quoting to a minimum! Quote pyramids clutter the boards… try to reply to posts by mentioning the names of the members you’re talking to instead!

Here’s a quick guide on properly using the quote feature.

Thanks for your understanding, happy posting!

Mine was updated on April 3rd, and I haven’t heard back as well :\

Mine was updated the day after they closed, so maybe they were just getting all of their ducks in a row and organizing? It’s a optimistic approach

I like your thinking! I just wish they took Disney’s approach on internships. If you don’t qualify, they immediately turn you down, not make you wait…

Mine was updated March 12 when I submitted on the 6th. I don’t know if it really means anything. I hope we hear back soon.

I think they do that to keep their options open. It would be poor taste if they rejected someone and then came back and asked them to work with them.

True, but I’m sure they get so many applications that it probably wouldn’t be a huge deal. I know Disney’s is based on a search system on your resume. If they don’t see things that qualify you of the position, it doesn’t even send it to the employers.

I’m glad they don’t do it like Disney. At least I feel like I have a chance of catching Pixar’s eye if they actually looked at it and not only a computer.

I would hate to find out my application was thrown out by a software…

Ditto. I don’t like the fact some companies run it through system. It feels like you would automatically knocked out for the wrong reasons. Instead of the human element. If that was true other majors would not even be looked at.

I doubt it is through that process. I mean you got a interview.

ummm… I’m just saying

Pixar definitely doesn’t do that. Since it is based on the creative aspect, it would be much harder for that system to be implemented. For Disney, sometimes it is just a resume you submit. If you don’t have any experience in that particular field, why would you want to waste time reading those resumes?

Either way, patience builds character IMO!

Sorry…

Its finee LittleTomo… That applicant tracking system sure is a nightmare for people. You really don’t know what to expect, now everyone’d better start attaching a seperated page with all the keywords to your resume just to make sure your application even gets to HR desks… haha
