Congratulations, kevhoang!!!

That’s so awesome!!! Congratulations!!!

Wow congrats! You definitely deserve it though. Your reel was brillant!

sirlupton - shoot, i can say the same thing when i hear about other people’s experiences. i’ve been taking classes for at least 2.5 years at SF State for this, too, but i think you’ll be fine! equal opportunity!

kevhoang - congrats! you must celebrate… by watching a movie! but of course… not just ANY movie 8D

I am hoping and wishing that I get a call back in the near future. I am so nervous about all this now… I am holding my breath and just holding up hope. I am thinking positive.

My thing says that it was updated today before noon
D:

What department?

Edit: Dumb question… I guess Public Relations is next since it was closed before Marketing.

Marketing and Publicity. I applied on the 26.

I guess they are going by departments. Public Relations was closed before Marketing. Marketing is after that or they might start to comb through both. Good Luck! They are going in order by closings.

Public Relations
Marketing
Editorial
Art
Story
Post Production
Story Tools/ Research (Still open)

great. The one I have most experience and chance and passion about is going second to last. but the wait is worth it. I wonder if you applied to multiple psitions (like me) changes your chances at all. I guess not… but I wonder if they take note of it or something.

Hi guys, just a friendly reminder that there’s no need to quote the entire post of the member above you. If you want to address a particular person, you can type the person’s username before your post with a colon, like so:

TDIT: I think you’re fabulous in that pink tutu. We should hang out.

Or quote the pertinent bit you want to address.

How about “No”?

Please refer to another mod’s earlier post. Thank for your cooperation!

kevhoang: AHHHH congrats! this is so exciting!

@Kev Congrats man! That’s super awesome news, definitely spreading the happiness
Best of luck this summer! You’ll have a blast!

It’s Friday!!! I am wishing everyone luck! Keep your heads up and stay strong while looking forward to a call!!!
If you get a call let us know some of the questions you get!

I hope I still get a call for marketing even if I am more visual and social networking. I have all the extra tech skills.

Congrats kevhoang! Wishing the best this summer for you, hopefully one of us will be joining you as well!

Just out of curiosity, who does the picking for the interns? Like, does HR department handle all of the internships, or does each department chose interns in their specific fields (art from the art department, story from the story department, etc)?

My friend who was originally an intern, I think she is working full time there now, said the HR department normally sends out and works with the department heads to pick each person. This year they aren’t sending emails they are just calling people because of volume I am guessing. She used to be at SCAD and got in.

As for Reels and Art they go through them and pick out things they are specifically looking for. I posted an article a while back about how one guy who used to work with hiring talked about reels. Art, would be like for colleges where they do spec reviews. Spread out the works in groups and walk through them to narrow down.

As for non-art departments they would focus on resume and technical skills I would assume. They don’t look like they run it through a machine or else most people would see rejection letters.

Tomo: that article was pretty interesting. It’s good to sort of get an idea of what they look for.
