Ahh I live in Dubai - it’s an 11 hour difference from Emeryville. Most of the time I miss you guys on the boards when you’re all chatting hah.
And I had no idea it was meant to be addressed as ‘Recruitment’ on the envelope! Guess mine’s gonna end up in the wrong place? Here’s the hoping that doesn’t happen

So, I’m still hoping for the best but I had to go ahead and accept another position for the summer. I’m just apprehensive giving up something definite for something unlikely to happen, but if I (magically) get offered the internship, there’s no way I could NOT go. Anyone else having a similar issue since this is taking so long?
You have to take what you can. You can always request later, if the offer comes, talk with the company you are interning with and they should understand. Don’t tell them now because it might make them upset.
I got a job tail end of the application period so I’m in a similar spot. The difference is because the place is college grad or soon to be they understand as long as I work hard here they will put me on leave till I get back.
If you work hard at your current internship they will appreciate you and not say you wasted their time, I don’t know how nice they are. If you mention it too early they might want to let you go to find another canidate. If you find out a few weeks before it starts and give them a two weeks notice praising them in a letter to them. That way you don’t burn your bridges and keep contacts willing to help you. You just have to play it smart. Otherwise you can hurt your chances in the long run. Hope that helps! And keep positive!

@pa1ntingpics I competely understand! I have an interview with another company on Wednesday and have been contacted by others as well, and maybe more to come, but I’m hoping that they give me to atleast the first or second week of May to accept any offers.
Hopefully if I get a call its after I get off work. Still just getting a call would make my entire week! I am guessing today they will start on Public Relations and marketing the following.

New to the boards!
Hello all! I’m a marketing graduate student who applied for the marketing internship. I haven’t seen any recent posts from anyone who applied to the marketing internship, so I was wondering if anyone had heard back yet from that. I’ve been super nervous for months now and have been putting other offers on the back burner at the moment.

I am going for Marketing and so are a few other people on here. Some applied to Public Relations and other departments. They just finished up Pup applicants recently with final call backs. So I don’t know how long before they call Marketing. I would think next week maybe and this week is for Public Relations. This is speculation because someone saw their application updated on Pixar. I think they are going in order of closing. Keep your fingers crossed!
LittleTomo, are sure they finished with pup? If yes, I guess I’ll just get a rejection letter on Friday:(
I am not 100% sure but I know they were starting final call backs cause Kev got one… I am not trying to discouraged that doesn’t mean they won’t call others up if people reject.
