Thanks! Primarily it’s Adobe After Effects. It has a bit of a steep learning curve but once you learn how to use the easy ease / graph editors and stuff for animation you can make things look really slick. For motion graphics and animating more vector or type based work it’s an absolute dream.
Thanks guys! and sorry to hear about the rejections it’s been a crazy ride so far for sure. Guess the weekend will be quiet? I wonder what next week is going to be like!
Hey guys! I’ve been reading your posts for a while now, finally decided to join in. I’m also still waiting for a reply to my applications for art and story internships. It’s getting stressful, I have another internship offer that I need to for sure accept or deny by the end of the work day Monday. Are any of you putting off other work options until you hear? How are you guys handling that?
That’s not an issue for me per se because I just graduated, and I’m going out to San Francisco to look for jobs on the first of June, so I should know before then. I think that’s been an issue for a few people though. Kinda makes me surprised it’s taken so long because people must have other options they may need to take. I thought maybe it has something to do with east-coast schools getting out later? Not sure.
What a coincidence, I just graduated a few weeks ago and am in San Francisco trying to figure out if I should accept the job or not it’s a great city.
Really really hoping they let us know tomorrow. Anybody else nervous about committing to other plans? I kind of feel like Pixar is a long shot for me, but it’s also a dream of mine.
I don’t think you’re going to know by the end of today unfortunately. They usually tell people tuesday or wednesday from what we’ve seen on this board. But best of luck!
I’m not feeling super nervous because I feel like either the internship happens or it doesn’t happen, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop applying after that. I’d love to get an internship but since I’m planning to relocate to San Francisco anyway (congratulations on graduating by the way!) I’m not going to give up on Pixar just yet! That being said, if I had applied for this internship last year I imagine I’d be a lot more anxious about it. Now that I’m graduated, I really just want to improve my skills and keep learning, and I have a good amount of confidence that I’ll be able to do a great job at Pixar – I just need the opportunity, in my mind. Keeping up with this thread and the application process has been more fun for me than nerve wracking. Still hoping for the best of course!
E: just got my rejection for art. That just leaves story for me! Good luck everyone who’s still waiting on art! I really hope someone in this thread gets it!
Still nothing on this end… REALLY wish you had gotten it, would’ve loved to have worked with you. Best of luck in San Fransisco either way, you’re definitely going places
