I am a first time applicant for the Production Internship, and just found this forum this morning! I am anxiously, blindly awaiting word from Pixar about this summer. I’ll post if I hear anything from them and hope other Production Internship applicants will do the same so we can know if we need to make other plans for summer.

I haven’t heard anything nor has my application been updated for marketing. Still waiting…

So a recruiter got back to me and said they’ll be making final decisions in the next couple of weeks and they will contact candidates directly!
Are they talking about every internship?
I know the interviews would be more pertinent for people that had to submit demo reels, but do some departments just not have to go through the interviewing process at all?
woah what do you mean no interviews? and does this apply for PUP too?
So, I was asking about the marketing position in particular.
And I don’t really know how to answer the questions (above) about interviews because I didn’t contact the University Relations recruiter- I’m assuming they’re separate and do things differently, so I didn’t ask her about it.

Sooo, I hate to be there bearer of bad news…but They are making acceptance calls for PUP. My buddy Jeremy just got the PUP internship about an hour ago. I think the PUP process is coming to an end.

Yep, 2 interviews actually.
This might just apply to the PUP I imagine? Pixar just looked at my demo reel through my website 2 days ago and so far no email. They looked at it a couple of times on the same day, so I’m not sure if that’s a good sign or not… BUT so far I haven’t gotten a rejection email yet! So maybe I made it past the first screening. I’m an animation department applicant applying for the regular internship. How does the PUP differ? Your friend Jeremy has awesome work!
Your reel seems great! I have the same situation, I think they already reviewed my demo reel, but I haven’t heard anything from Pixar yet…
I don’t know what’s that mean, maybe they are still making the final decision, maybe it means I can’t get in.
btw, I applied the summer intern–effects department.

Hey! I have been seeing some people say that they can see there status of their application! Where can I find that?!
Hi everyone.
I have applied to the Pixar Undergraduate Program and haven’t heard back yet.
I also applied to other summer internships and got a negative response.
On their website it says that the last time they checked my application was March 22nd…
From what I found in this thread, there have been candidates who got accepted, but no one here said that he got a rejection for the PUP. Is that correct?
Does anyone know for sure if the application processing for the PUP is over?
Also - if you guys could check my portfolio and comment on it I’d really appreciate it and it’ll help me to improve for next year:

Hi all! I applied for the Story Internship for the first time this year, so I’m not really familiar with the timeline of how and when they get back to you. I’ve been checking my profile pretty much every day and it still says last checked 3/2/2014, which was when I submitted my application. Is this the case for anyone else? Thanks!
