I’m not a story or animation applicant, but as a former publicity/promotions assistant, generic blast emails like that aren’t always bad news.

He may not have actually viewed your profiles individually, but I don’t think he would send that out to every person who applied to story/animation. He would’ve had to send it to thousands. Maybe it means that you are all in a smaller group who has moved on to the next stage of the application process, a much more narrowed down group of maybe a couple hundred!

It does seem strange that he would direct Pixar applicants to his own class… Though I’ve checked it out myself and it does look interesting! Could be a good thing to join in on for a peek into what it takes to work at Pixar :slight_smile:

I applied to the editorial internship! Haven’t heard anything yet. It’s getting close to the 8 week mark, so I’m starting to think I won’t be getting an email.

Stay by your phones. Chances are if you get something they’ll call you, not email you. Most times emails= rejection letter. shiver

Hey guys! Wanting some advice. How do you guys handle reaching out to your first choice and letting them know you’ve received an internship offer elsewhere but are waiting for their response? I know this can happen with jobs, but is there a usual way of approaching this when it comes to summer internships? I unfortunately don’t know people who work at my top choice studio, so I’m not sure how to reach out to HR, but I’m interested in your feedback, experience, and opinions on this. Is this a “no-no” for something like an internship? Thanks!
