I’m starting to get worried about the whole process, since my status on the site hasn’t been updated since March 2… Do you guys think that they are going to let us know for sure that if we got rejected??
I’ve applied to Sony Animation too and haven’t gotten any answer, but on their website they say
“iNTERNSHIPS
Our internships are now full for 2016. Please check back in February 2017 for future listings!”
so I think they’ve already contacted the ones they want…
I don’t think so. This message appearanced on the next day after deadline. And it will be there till next opening. that just means they stop accepting applications
Hi guys, I’m new here and this is my first time applying for Pixar. And the other day I found this forum which helped me a lot!
I applied for the graphic art position as well and I haven’t received nothing yet. Do they send e-mails to everyone that applied? Even the ones that were rejected? (…my hopes are very low but still I would like to know…)
I also got my rejection letter for Art yesterday, but I should say this forum has really been a support through out the waiting process. I hope all of you continue to work as hard as you can to make great things, and don’t worry we’ll get there someday!
Sad to see all the rejections y’all, but as some people have said it usually takes 4 or more tries to get one’s foot on the door and the competition gets harder each year. Ex-Pixar animator Carlos Baena jokingly framed all his rejection letters in his office.
I admit my mistake was giving such a small amount of time to create pieces for my portfolio, it’s supposed to be a year-long effort.
Best tip I got from a Disney recruiter: Tailor your portfolio for the studio you are applying, I’ve seen some of the portfolios posted here and they are not in the same type of content Pixar makes. That matters a lot.
Omg, I’m so sad, Pixar pulled a Steve Harvey on me lol
They sent me an interview email for art internship, then they rejected me 4-5 mins later
They said it was an accidental email
Wow, that’s the second time that’s happened for the art internship on this thread alone. It must be happening to a lot of people. Now you can’t even get excited if you get an interview request lol.
Does anyone know or have a guess regarding the (tentative) order of which internships they’re going to go through first? I’m waiting to hear back for sound, which I know will be last, but I want to keep track of the other ones at the same time.
My status hasn’t been updated and I haven’t received a rejection email for the Production internship that I applied to… I see other people have… so I don’t know if this is a bad sign for me or not. I have a feeling it is. I just wish I knew either way for sure!
Hey y’all… I didn’t get the editorial internship, so it’s time for this old shark to hang his hat and keep swimming forward until we meet again next year.
It was great sharing stuff with you guys, even anxiety… farewell
