So I’m also waiting to hear back for the Production internship (…and the documentary internship and Pixar university) @CcA113
Haven’t heard any news except an update last on 3/18 and I did have a view on my LinkedIn from a production assistant (previously the 2015 fall Production Intern) from Pixar… Anyone else getting views on their LinkedIn??
It’s always fun to get the thread going and feel the excitement, even if for the most times most folks get rejected. Always nice to see that you’re not alone in this hardest of tasks
Wow. @Aiafanti, @tory, @jayroy, what amazing portfolios! I know virtually nothing about art and storyboarding, so I can’t really offer any constructive critique, but I will say your work(s) are just incredible.
I don’t envy the recruiters or department heads. If they’re getting 20 / 200 / 2000 applicants at your skill levels, this would be the hardest decision ever. I’m just a nobody, but I was super floored!
Nice job, everyone! Even those who haven’t shared your portfolios. I’m sure your work was amazing too.
Hello again
So I had a question for you guys… My first view on LinkedIn was about a week and a half ago, and now I just got another yesterday. I can see who the guy is, it was the same guy both times, and my dad pressured me to message him… So I did! My question is, is that inappropriate?? All I said was that I noticed he had the production internship that I was now applying for and I was hoping to ask him a couple questions about his experience. I really hope I wasn’t out of line!! It was super short and I added “no pressure though!” at the end. Kinda freaking out about it though.
Anyways, the suspense is also killing me… Just really want to know one way or another! Thanks!!
I’ve been silently lurking around this forum for a while but I thought it was time to finally just make an account hehe hello~ I applied to the art internship and the suspense is killing me slowly…I don’t think I will get it but there’s always small glimmers of hope, right? Haha. Has anyone heard back about the art internship yet? Noticed that people seem to still be waiting.
Dizzymisshannah I personally don’t think it sounds out of line to just ask about their experiences, but that’s just my opinion. I recently found out that someone who works at Pixar attends the same church that I do, so now I am trying to find an opportunity to meet them…it feels uncomfortable but I really want to ask about their experiences and get advice >. <
I think your dad was right in pressuring you into it. He might not respond, but I wouldn’t take that as a bad sign. What’s the worst that could happen? Best thing is that he replies and tells you helpful information. It’s not really any different than emailing a recruiter.
Hey guys, I still haven’t heard anything yet for art and animation. I took peek at the portfolios some of you have shared and they are amazing!!! Great work guys. Your inspired me to share mine - www.sketching-sketches.weebly.com . Check it out when you guys get a chance
Only have visa to pass trough border not work :c, the only chance is to have a very strong powerfull portfolio, so i´m going to keep improving!, not anyone should feel let down if you get a rejection just keep working
Thanks for your reassurances @Kurisutenx and @IAMATOY !! Seriously made me feel a lot better about it. And good luck @Kurisutenx finding a way to talk to the guy at your church!! You got this
Another question… They definitely don’t work on the weekends, right??
Hi everyone!! I’ve been reading you and I decided joined the forum. I also applied for the art internship, I know I’m not gonna make it, I’m also not from the USA so the possibilities decrease.
But I need to know when they are going to make a decision, I read they send they rejection emails to the story internship.
Do you have the email to the pixar recruitment or human resources??? I saw they have twitter but I don´t so I can’t ask them
I just need to know when they decide about the art one because I have to make decision about my graduation and university credits right now
I know waiting sucks, but I’m 80% sure they won’t make the decision past april. You could try and call them directly, their phone is on the contact page on their site.
Haha, stop trying to make us better people! What a great sense of humor. Thanks, ToyStoryShark. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I refresh my email/application/this forum like, more times than I breathe in. But I digress… Have you heard about your editorial application yet?
