I just feel it’s been done…because it has.
2 wasn’t that great, although it was
still good.
Part of the Pixar excitement is the new characters and anew environment you are being invited
into with each new movie. But with Toy Story, it’s just going to be Andy’s Room or around the city, and we
already know the characters inside out.
This is Disney’s bad side appearing again, they are obsessed with
sequels. Anything to make money, even though John hated the idea of Toy Story 2, and now he has to make 3.

I’m ecstatic about Toy Story
- IMO the second was at least as good as the firs and I have the same confidence about the third. Especially
since Lasseter wants to do it and nobody can force him one way or the other. As long as his heart is in it then
I have no doubt it will succeed.
I believe that there have been some
positive talks of making a TS3. This would usually mean that there will be another
Toy Story.
I do agree with you in some ways,
luxo. I really enjoyed TS2, but I fear that doing 3 might be pushing the idea a bit too far.
I actually
liked the 2nd Toy Story better than the first… a 3rd does sound a little questionable but I have confidence in
Lassater.
The only thing keeping me from panicking is the fact that six/seven movies later, I still trust Lasseter . .
.

Yeah, they guy is just a complete
genious. Once he leaves Pixar, or heaven forbid, dies
, then I can see Pixar becoming a little bit less
amazing.
Someone clear this up because some of you talk like TS3 isn’t a confirmed thing, and some talk
like it is. I was under the impression it was deffinate, check out the Wiki page for Pixar to see why I am under
this impression.
Don’t always take Wikipedia for granted . . . it CAN be wrong. You don’t know how long it
took to get the supposd 2008 release removed (No way would it it be coming out that soon).
Not to mention
how long it took for them to change the fact that TS3 is NOT the film right after Ratatouille.
But it IS
happening. As for when and what it’s going to be about, that’s anyone’s guess.
Total respect for JL. I know he can
make a TS3 that we will all cherish.
Making a sequel is hard. But making a third one after a successful sequel, that is even
more difficult. You have to match and go beyond the expectations of the viewers. And the viewers have very high
expectations, even after you did a successful sequel.

yeah, I just think Pixar will deliver a dud.
Maybe not a dud. But too be honest, I believe that a TS3
isn’t a good idea. Two is good enough in my opinion.

It doesn’t look to good then, not
100% of fans are feeling this TS3.
Well, hopefully Pixar will prove us all wrong.
They’ve proven everyone else that they can handle it . .
. it should be a success . . . again, as long as PIXAR is doing it. Do you remember what COULD have happened??
What ALMOST happened??
shudders Those were dark, dark days…
I love Disney and always will. No
matter how many times I want to break down and weep at the sight of Cinderella 2 or
Return to Neverland. No matter how badly I want to punch whoever came up with the
idea of straight-to-video sequels in the face. But there’s just no way they could have pulled off
Toy Story without Pixar.

LOL, yeah, Disney was going to do it, shudder at the thought.
Yes,
Pixar and Disney could’ve and almost parted ways.

If that had happened, who knows what the future would have been for the two.
Hey now, I like
Return to Neverland!
I will admit that most Disney-made direct-to-video
sequels aren’t worth the DVD they’re put on; however, there are the rare exceptions (though
Return to Neverland was actually released in theatres…). When I get into
discussions about Disney movies (actually happens quite often), the “good sequels” list is always
short. (TS2 is always at the top, though.)
In light of this (or in spite of it), I have faith that Pixar
will take the time to make TS3 worth our while. They take pride in their “story is king” credo, and I
don’t see them backing away from that, even to do a “mandated” three-quel.
