I’m not exactly sure why I hate it…I loved the books and older film version, but something about Tim Burton’s take really left an unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth. It kind of freaked me out at times, for one - in a more mean-spirited way than the book. I don’t consider it a bad movie or anything, just an odd personal preference, I suppose…
I understand completely.
Just like how I don’t like Avatar. I don’t why I don’t like it, I just don’t.
