Proms

We just got our letters

saying about signing up for the prom and everything, so it made me want to ask if you guys have ever been to a

prom (since this will be my first time, if I get in) and how you liked it and everything.

My first (and only) prom will be this year, too…Yay for Seniors!

I want to go to prom this year, but two things are

stopping me. One, my girlfriend lives a long way away from me, (30 min-1 hr drive) and her parents are incredible

strict.

Never have; never will.

People think that I am rather weird for not

being interesting in boys of any type, but that’s just my personality. I’m almost an adult and I still don’t

want any boyfriends. I’m never getting married either. :stuck_out_tongue:

JesusFreak- Yep, a definite yay!

TSS- With our prom, we don’t really have to go with a partner…It’s

actually more likely that out of the 250 places allocated, 200 will be girls and the rest will be boys. It’s

because we have two separate schools- we’re not mixed- so only the girls will really be interested.

Mitch: You should go. Maybe with some friends. I suggest

you do because High School is going to be the best years of your life. Enjoy them.

lizardgirl: true, but I

want to make it special.

The

Star Swordsman - (snigger) Too bad I’m homeschooled – that makes it kind of difficult. But

seriously, I’m not interested in guys at all.

TSS- Yeah, I can see how you would want to spend it with your girlfriend.

Mitch- As I said, proms don’t seem to be too focused on the whole partner

thing. The only reason I’m going is because it means I can buy a pretty dress, have some nice food, and have a

laugh with a few friends. I hardly know anyone who’s actually going with a partner.

:open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: NEVER!?!? Don’t make that decision so soon, Mitch.

=P

NEVER say never, Mitch!

O my

gosh, Mitch! Your homeschooled!? So am I! I gotta pm you on this one!

I’ll probably never go to a prom either, for the same reason.

Lizardgirl you are making me feel old. If you are talking about high school prom mine was 11

years ago. Had fun none the less.

I don’t think I’m quite old enough for proms, lol…

lizardgirl - Yeah, that’s

more how I see it as well – just a chance to interact with friends and eat some food. (snigger)

JesusFreak and Bill - Haha – never say ā€œalwaysā€, either. I stand

firm by my decision.

Gasduude - Heheh, yep! I am, indeed,

homeschooled…and proud of it. I know I am a little more secluded from the outside world, and I don’t have any

friends either, but at least I don’t have to go through all that teasing and name-calling in public.

Kinda Off-Topic

Mitch - Wow, no friends? That’s too bad… I’m homeschooled, but there’s a

group I have that we can hang out and socialize. So I have plenty of friends!

Ohh yeah, I think homeschooling has way more advantages

than public schools…I have some friends that are home-schooled. They don’t need to deal with all the stuff

that public schools have.

*Points to those friends… You know who you are!

 • LUCKY!!!

Sometimes I wish I was homeschooled. ._.;

JesusFreak and Candy - But it’s not like homeschoolers don’t do school, that’s a

common misconception! I’ve been known to do school 10 hours straight!

What I personally like about it

is, if you’re a nerd like me, and you’re really interested in something, you have the flexiblity to center

you’re work around it.

Now, on the other hand, if you just don’t want to do school, you can kinda get

away with that!

I do that in public school anyway…hehe. The punishment that

they give me is actually a good thing 4 me…I’ve only skipped a couple days of school this year…=P

Gasduude - I homeschooled to. There’s a homeschool

group that I go to every friday where we can hang out and socialize to.

Mitch - Don’t feel bad that you

don’t have any friends, I don’t have that many friends to, so your not alone.
